I seem to remember Gus usuing a quick huddle several times throughout games... Change of pace also?
You realize your argument has no legs right?
Dive for the thrill, shoot for the kill.
So the rules should be different? Pro teams can go hurry up but not college teams? If injury is the issue then shorten the game to 12 minute quarters.
Then you would be wrong. We have the best WR corps in all of football. There is only one other team (USCw) that could come close to comparing. lol. Next question
"Because Bama now sucks just like FSU used to suck when we were getting dominated by OU. Does it make sense now?"- Sliger (FSU Fan)
ITT, I learned you are really Pele.
Wondered where he went after the Cosmos
Maybe you should read my OP regarding the injuries. Or better yet, just worry about your team. (If you even have one by the time the season starts)
Huh? Gus uses the HUNH the entire time. You are too dumb to argue with.
You might know a lot about football, but not about reading.
Like I said in my post, I do not agree with those examples, I am just saying you can argue any scheme used by any team. Just like saying the hurry up is a "cheap" offense used by teams that can't win games with any other scheme. You can argue it, but that doesn't make it true.
Wrong. We huddled about 3-5 times a game when Gustav was the OC. Argue away.
You can argue the world is flat but that would still make you an idiot. What's your point? You are wrong about the hurry-up. Look above for the example.

The way I see it is Oregon and Alabama, like most teams, have very similar philosophies. Oregon uses their speed and conditioning as a way to wear out the opposition so that the 4 yard runs in the first quarter become 40 yard touchdowns in the 4th quarter. Alabama does the same thing, just by using strength and brute force to wear out the opposition.
Both of these are effective ways to win. The safer way to do it is to go the route of Bama, because there is less of a risk/reward. It works perfectly for them, because they have superior talent and coaching.
EDIT: I prefer Alabama's route, and hope ND can pull it off soon, but I don't consider Oregon's route to the top inferior

The option is cheap. By gaining yardage and sustaining drives my opponent is keeping my offense off the field. Damn cheaters.

Lol ok. Let me rephrase. Gus Malzahn's primary offense is the HUNH. No team in the pros do that, thus making most of the points you people were making moot.
The only point I was making is that you were wrong then called out someone that was right. I don't give a fug if you are scared of the HUNH or not.

you found an article on the hurry up? Congrats? Was it from your blog?
why would he huddle then, if he runs the HUNH the whole time?
Would you like to refute it? I would love to hear it. Tell us why you are right and the experts aren't.
Lol wow. It serves no purpose to run the no huddle on 3rd and long. I'm not sure why I have to explain this. Are you seriously trying to make the point that if you guys huddle a few times a game, that you are not running the HUNH? Wow.
but but but pawwwllll

Scared AND wrong in the same thread is no way to go through life son. Take a breather. The pace is getting to u.
elite teams run what bama runs. line up man on man, let your super talent OL dominate head up and gash for 7 yards a carry. go for a 15 play drive that take 9 minutes off the clock and the other team gets bored and hopeless. then have the best defense in the country on the other side of the ball. this is the way winning football games has always been. fads come and go, but pro set, PA passing off of elite OL/RB play is the most consistent way to win.

35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
Never said that... I just pointed out that you were a dumbass... just like VTM did as well...
Like I said your arguments just don't have legs... you're throwing chit against tBB to see what sticks and having your arse handed to you at the same time
Agree. So if a team can't win that way they should accept it and give up? Sounds a lot like communism to me. If you hate the HUNH you hate Murica. Iyam.
