My mastiff, Kira with my son.
I just bought myself my first Benelli about two weeks ago. LOVIN IT!!!!!
Good looking dog, and woman, by the way.
I just gave my two female pits half of a pizza that I forgot about (tombstone pepperoni) and have a feeling that this one is going to bite me in my ass. I don't mind giving them leftovers if I'm not anywhere near eating, but I think I just pushed the envelope in the amount. Just didn't want to throw the damn thing away and I'm drunk.
They are happy and I shall be miserable. What else is new with these bastards.
People have told me that giving human food to dogs is reprehensible, as it contributes to obesity and shortens the lifespan of said dog. From the time my dog, a golden retriever, was a pup, I gave him leftovers. However, it's strictly dog food for him now.
What's your take on that? Have your dogs experienced any health problems, due to their eating habits?

Some people take that shit way too serious. As long as it's nothing like chocolate, grapes or something that really could mess them up, it's really not going to do any harm. Especially for dogs that are of the age where they don't mess with you while you are eating.
Is it premium for them? of course not. They aren't going to gain twenty pounds if you feed them human food every now and then though. Just keep it as sparingly as possible. I just didn't feel like throwing it away. They eat Blue Buffalo dog food 98% of the time so they aren't going to get fat over one treat.
I was more worried about the shit I might have to pick up as a result. Not their health.
Edit: Don't take that the wrong way because after reading it sounded like I came off like a prick. I know you were just asking a question. I'm being honest when I say it's not a big deal from time to time though.

I will never have another breed of dog. Their personalities are awesome and entertaining. Great with kids.

The only thing it will do is make them beg while you're trying to eat, other than that it's not a problem. Dogs get fat because of lack of exercise. Dogs also get fat when they are fixed if you're feeding to much and letting them be lazy.
doubtful. Chasing a bass that I didn't get in the boat fast enough for him, and fishing in the winter when it's 30 degrees out like a boss.
Oh, I see. Thanks.
Both mutts. First is some kinda husky mix (Palmer). The second is a lab/ rot mix maybe?? (Libby). And my wife has a yorkie.
If you guys or ladies like dogs check out this blog. All about rescue dogs and other pets for that matter. Very entertaining!!!
