Zeller being top 5 shows you how bad this draft was
Just putting it out there, Reggie Bullock is going to be a great role player in the league. Very similar to Danny Green, not as good of an athlete, but bigger and a great rebounder for a guard as well as a good defender.
Thought Stern killed it in his last draft, was really funny
Im still not sure if Archie Goodwins ankles have fully recovered from this
"I like fixing broken things" - Kevin Plank
No one in the Top 15 would go in the Top 4 of next year's draft.
wow KG Pierce and Jason Terry to the Nets. big time move right there.
That team will win 25-30 games max next year.
@ESPNSteinLine: Hearing Grizzlies have trade in the works: Darrell Arthur and 55th pick will be dealt to Denver for Kosta Koufos
As a Grizzlies fan this is an underrated trade, get a true back-up C for DA is breaking down quick. Really happy
Simmons is pissed and should be Wallace is trash
SEC POY with NBA size and athleticism at the position. Can develop into both an elite scorer and defender.
I think he was one of the safest picks in the draft in regards to getting a starting sg who can become a game changer. If he was at any school with publicity, he'd have gone even higher. He really doesn't have any areas of big weaknesses.
Bill was right in calling out Doc. All he wanted was for him to own it that he didn't want to rebuild and he wanted to go to L.A. and he couldn't do that.
He was right but he is an idiot for thinking that Rivers would own up to it. Of course he wouldn't.
As much as the Celtics were paying Rivers they probably encouraged him to move on. No point in paying top dollar for a coach when you are rebuilding.
so the Hawks class currently stands at:
16. Lucas Nogueira C Brazil
17. Dennis Schroeder G Germany
44. Mike Muscala C Bucknell
47. Raul Neto G Brazil
plus Jared Cunningham from Dallas in the trade up. Thoughts?
A bunch of guys that may be able to contribute in 2-5 years.
Muscala is underrated and I think Schroeder is going to be really good. Nogueira is meh IMO and don't know anything about Neto.
As a Mavs fan, knowing we were likely going PG, I really really wanted Schroeder. I would've been fine taking him at 13 or 16, so I was upset when we let ATL get him at 17.
Don't get me wrong Canes, I like Larkin. He's explosive and athletic, but my personal preference is a more fundamentally sound PG with court vision.
I understand we are trying to free up cap space, but the money we saved in that trade (~$200,000) is not a huge deal in FA.
Summing things up: pretty good draft for ATL, I like Larkin, but would've preferred Schroeder in Dallas.
EDIT: I wonder if the Schroeder pick indicates that ATL doesn't feel confident in their ability to resign Teague/match a big offer sheet for him. He's a RFA this year, right?

Huddles are for rookies.
Yeah Teague is a RFA in July. He's come along nicely but I'm not willing to pay him anything over $6.5 Million per year.
If Dallas strikes out with Howard (say what you want, guy is a talent and I want him), I hope we go after Teague, as long as we don't overpay.
Yep celtics wanted to get rid of him just as badly as rivers wanted to leave. It was a mutual split. 7 million a year for a coach of a terrible team is just way too much.
