Ran out of gas
I Ain't got no Worries - Lebron James
Spurs almost gave that one away. Memphis better find a way to get it into the post if they want to push this series past four games.
Need to start Quincy and let Prince come in for Conley to play the point forward.
It's so much more than that. First off, Gay can create his own shot. You are right there. But his shot selection is terrible. He's incredibly inefficient. And that's not how the Grizzlies win games. They score from the inside out.
But most importantly, Gay was traded to get that contract off the books. He was way overpaid. For a small market team it made tons of sense to make that trade and keep the nucleus they have moving forward. So while Gay could certainly help this team, he's just not as good as people make him out to be. It's easy to say how they could use him after a loss. But he never made this team great offensively while he was there.
This series isnt over either. The Spurs dont have the legs to finish this off soon IMO. They nearly blew this one. But of course, your response will be I know nothing about basketball.
I'm a Raptors fan, I know all about Gay's faults.
Memphis doesn't have the offence on the wings to win a title. Trading Gay, while maybe a good business move, ended any shot Memphis had at a title.
at you saying my response will have nothing to do with basketball. All my posts are strictly about basketball.
Also it's funny you only came to this thread once Memphis started coming back, you were M.I.A after Game 1, and for most of Game 2. Tough to talk shit when you duck out when the going gets tough.
Lmfao find me one post where I've "talked shit" about anything to do with the grizzlies. I said I think they'll make it out of the west and I think they match up well against the heat. You get all pissed off when anyone says something about the Heat that isn't kissing their ass. But please find my post where I talk shit about the Grizzlies beating the heat.

The Spurs are just as good on the road as they are at home, Z-BO is getting taken to school by the big fundamental..

Both of those are true and they also have a major coaching advantage. But I don't think the Grizz are done yet. Not talking shit, just my opinion.
Don't worry I went back and found it for you. Here's my only comment talking about the Heat and Grizz.
LeBron is great, but he's also human. Banging down low with Z-Bo for 4 quarters could wear him out.
I told you Tony Allen will guard LeBron. First team all defense. The defensive player of the year might play a little D too. Rio and Cole? Really? Mike Conley is one of the best defensive PG's there is.
FWIW I still think the Heat would be favored in the series, but it's not a great matchup for them. The Heat play great D too and that's probably why they'd win that series. But not a lock by any means if they draw Memphis.
So, all I said was that the Grizzlies would be a tough matchup for the Heat. Has nothing to do with their series against the Spurs. And I also said Mike Conley was better than Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole. But I kind of figured that was pretty common knowledge. I still said the Heat would be favored and win. What more do you want?
Zbo cant wear out the gatorade boy.. have you seen the forst two games.
Memphis would be a tremendous series for Mia.. You think SA is quick and likes to run? wait till mia gets going.. Please be memphis.
I wouldn't want any part of Pop in a NBA finals either, undefeated. HE seriously is amazing and is the best coach of all-time IMO..
I don't think anyone outside of Memphis would rather face the Spurs over the Grizzlies.
Ah Phil Jackson??? Red??
But no I dont want Pop over Memphis.
regardless Lebron and Co will close it out but I'd love to have Memphis.
Phil Jackson had MJ, Pipp, Kobe and Shaq; Red had more HOF's than any 1, plus Bill was basically a coach. I would take Pop over both those guys if i was building a franchise..
Terrible T on Sam Young and then coach Brian Shaw gets a T as well. Allen missed it and Shaw yelling, BALL DON'T LIE, hahaha
