For Sure: Reid (PHI), Gailey (BUF), Turner (SD), Shurmur (CLE), and Crennel (KC).
Possible: Whisenhunt (ARI)
Top College Candidates for Openings: Chip Kelley, Kirk Ferentz, Bill O'brien, and Doug Marrone.
Andy Reid will land at one of the openings and apparently it won't be SD, which is a huge shock. Cleveland ownership wants an offensive headcoach. The Philly job belongs to Chip if he wants it.
Coaches getting fat raises = Mike Shanahan
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Turner is already gone
"Just gotta keep balling out"
They were saying on the radio this morning that OBrien was going to be the first target for the Eagles.
a loss in the first round of the playoffs gets you a raise?
The Jaguars just fired our GM Gene Smith, and there are talks that the new GM might want a new coach.
Interesting change from a few days ago. Would be a great hire IMO.
I would say that Gailey is not certain, but I just don't see any way they can sell another year of Chan. I think the main question now is if Buffalo fires both the coach and GM.
Jags have played well since Henne took over the offense.
Yeah he has had some good games and he has had some bad games, but the offense has looked way better with him than with Gabbert. If we had MJD healthy it would have really helped boost this team to more wins this season.
I hope the Lions fire Schwartz and go after O'Brien.
Boy everyone wants our coach. Guess being on the short lists of NFL teams means you know you've got a good one.
Exactly. And honestly it seems like it'll be pretty hard to get him to leave. But you've definitely got a good one there.
Ha, guess it's a possibility. No idea who Bills will go for...which is a much different list from who will actually take the job.
The Jets are looking for a new GM who will agree to keep the current GM Mike Tannenbaum as an assistant and Ryan as head coach. For obvious reasons, they haven't been successful so far.
God help me.
Tannenbaum is a moron and as long as he's anywhere in the picture, the team will suck.
Lovie Smith needs to be fired as well. Way too much talent on the Bears be in their situation this year and not make the playoffs last season.
