  • I used to follow hockey alot. Last 3 or 4 years I have stopped following the NHL and switched to college more. Anyone have any opinions on what the Avalanche need to do to improve? I used to watch every Avs game but don't get their local channel anymore.

  • I just hope that the Blue Jackets can manage to pick a player that doesn't flame out and suck like nearly all of our high picks have done. I didn't care much about the NHL prior to the Jackets, and I would really like to start caring about the league after January on a regular basis.

I do not really follow drafts too closely. Given that Philly traded their 1st round pick for Versteeg most of the guys listed will be gone before the Flyers are on the board. I do think that the Flyers desperately need a goalie but I think they would be better off going after a veteran vs. a rookie to allow Bobrovsky time to develop. I also think that they need to find a big, dominant defenseman ala Pronger because I do not know how much longer Pronger will be able to continue playing. The Flyers definitely suffered from Pronger's absence especially against Boston.

  • The Devils could use a good defenseman in the draft, but we also really need a goalie, what with Brodeur being 38 and our backup, Johan Hedburg, 37. Our frontlines are alright, we've got Kovalchuk, and Parise will be back this season.

Hope they go defense too. My buddy just signed an entry level contract with the Devils last year and hes a forward. Hopefully he proves enough to get a call up.

The Avs are a young solid team.Maybe a puck moving defensemen.Other than that, they are pretty solid

Yep,but as a fellow Devils fan we could pick up a solid defensemen second round,or via free agency.Mind you we still have a solid defensemen in Anton Volchinkov we picked up from Ottawa.Jonathan Huberdeau is just too good to pass up 1st round.

  • As a Leaf fan would like to see them get Boone Jenner if he slides to #25 and at the bottom of the 1st round Matt Puempel.

  • Got a buddy who coaches in the Juniors and he really likes the McNeil kid. Said he reminds him of Jason Arrnott when we played against him as kids.

Sean Couturier reminds me of the Arnott type.
