Holy smokes this is gonna get bad. No way this guy and Shapiro are both making this up. Doesnt look good for Golden either. RIP Cane Crew
Sean 'Pee Wee' Allen found himself in the middle of zealous UM booster Nevin Shapiro's scheme and tried to lie his way out of it. Now he's trying to clear the air in an exclusive interview with Bruce Feldman.
Damn, RIP Canes'
its been real Canes
Anybody think they get a multi year death penalty? It's really not looking great for the Canes.
gotta know that we are only hearing part of the story so far ; the rest of the story will probably never be known ..feel for the 99% that arent guilty of anything
NCAA listened to a convicted felon in the USC case. The Canes are screwed...
Fides Quaerens Intellectum
C-mon man. I do not want UM to be buried, but no way you can spin this. It looks bad. Charles Robinson is an ass hat, but Bruce Feldman is a fantastic journalist. No way he puts his reputation on the line to publish BS. I hope Im wrong for the sake of our rivalry, but UM needs a hail mary here.
Lolz at Lamp
"I'm not doing that anymore," Allen recalled Shapiro saying. "We can't outbid these [expletive] SEC schools."
In other news Artie Burns is in tally
bailing a sinking ship ? Maybe ( wink wink )
I wonder how much longer will it be before the NCAA hits the canes
Actually it is against the rules. You can't send a school employee to go pick up a kid and bring him to the coaching staff so they can recruit him. And you can only supply meals on official visits so you can't tell that employee to feed the kid. The NCAA could prove it by both Pee Wee and Bridgewater saying it happened. Now do you have a link to Pee Wee's perjury conviction? And why would a guy who loves Miami lie about cheating and sink the school?
Shapiro was bad, but now you have a guy (Pee Wee Herman) who admitted he lied originally to cover up for UM now saying he regrets it and feels like an ass. He doesnt get a thing from this article expect the gratification of knowing he got to clear his conscience. He is an unemployed douche, who will gain nothing from this. It only hurts his reputation even more imo.
Haha, quit making things up...
"Did you pay for the story?"
"Absolutely not. I know that was something that was Tweeted. We’ve reached out to the individual and also the outlet associated with that individual. That is one of the most grossly inaccurate things I’ve ever heard. We did, in no way, pay for this story.”- Charles Robinson
not sure yet but i do thiink its going to be brutal in the end
Why would Bridgewater lie? Especially since he doesn't play for Miami, and if you lie to the NCAA you get suspended. Didn't lying cost Dez Bryant an entire season? You're really reaching now.
Not when $180,000 involved. As a Bama fan , anybody see how we get the Barn in the middle of this?
Back in the day, I ran a 3.9 in the 20
Deon Bush disagrees.
Does anyone know the total monetary value of all the illegal things the canes did? Legitimately asking
You think Yahoo paid Shapiro for a story that was given in a jail? Wow Lamp, you start drinking early today?
lamp in denial
I don't think this makes it any worse but it does further give the NCAA ammo to go with what they have already found out. Just more clarification and confirmation, in their eyes, of what happened. You have to understand that the NCAA goes on what they believe to have happened and it seems pretty evident that they think Shapiro, along with members of the Miami program and administration, were breaking rules. They're gonna get hammered. The NCAA has been fairly quick lately with giving out punishment, so I think the fact that they've taken so long with this one indicates that they are still gathering more info on top of what they have and deciding just how hard to hit Miami. I don't expect USC level but more than OSU. Enough to crush the program. Miami is teetering on the edge of breaking down anyway and this will be the deathnail. Untouchable job for the next decade.
Yeah, Moss denied ever talking to Robinson, but Yahoo allowed the Miami Herald to listen to the recorded interview.
“I never admitted to receiving $1,000 from anyone,” Moss told the Herald. “I’ve never taken no phone call from anyone. I have not talked to anyone directly. I don’t know how this story got out about me, but it was a shame that I wake up and see all this negative publicity about me.”
BOOM! --->"The Herald reported that Yahoo! Sports’ managing editor Gerry Ahern allowed the Herald to hear the audio taped interview and Moss did admit to taking money in the clip. In addition, Moss alleged that Shapiro was the front-man of Axcess Sports Agency to try to bring in UM players to the business."
