No shit, its not even worth talking about
Every single year people bring it up... can the #1 team beat a terrible NFL team ?
The answer is always no
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Greatest team in CFB history would lose to the worst team in NFL history by 30.
The college game is light years behind the NFL
Its not even close
Most Alabama fans would have agreed with you before this game. Of course you have some idiots that would say other wise, but again most of us would say the same thing you did.
Even on the best college teams they have maybe 20-25 guys that will make an NFL roster.
Even the worst pro teams are full of guys that were studs in college. It has always been a dumbass argument. Something the media does on slow weeks to fill airspace.
Announcers said most asked question they get is if Bama would beat an nfl team. Never ever would they come close.
Yeah it wasn't even Bama fans making the claim so I don't hold it against you guys.
Agreed, a DE would beat DJ Fluker all night causing AJ to be carted of the field...and thats only one position.
The reporter that said they would should be shot
Yes. Only idiots think a college team could beat a pro team.
It was this dumbass that said it...guess who?
Steve Spurrier may not have been a fit in the NFL. However, the Ol' ball says Nick Saban and powerhouse Alabama have what it takes to compete at the highest level.

I figured he was just buttering Bama's bread.
Unless he meant they could have beaten his Washington coached teams.
For fvcks sake.
It was Spurrier that started this BS. Does anyone think he was actually serious?
If this question was posted on BOL before today, I'd be willing to bet it would have 25+ upvotes and 100 posters saying "yes".
Sane folks wouldn't but I could see this.
Damn, I sound like aubie.
Would A College All-Star Team Come Close?
www.yohoodent.com ... errybawdee awn ignorle
No. If you gave the all-star team two years of the NFL speed then maybe against a bad team. No college team assembled could beat an NFL team without any NFL experience.
Steve is a peach - he loves him some him
College all stars used to win but now the nfl is much more talented. also i doubt the pros cared that much since it was after the championship game
