Do you disagree with that assessment ?
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu

You saying I can hear Jimi, now?
17 TDs, 13 INTs. Last seven games of the year (against quality playoff caliber opponents) he racked up 11 of those INTs.
Don't post this on ITU, it will melt down.
No I did not lose a sig bet, but I am really really really ridiculously good looking.
You act like he is surrounded by all-stars. He carried his team.

D'onofrio is just a pawn. This is Al Golden's team and Al's defense. Al's the clown. Dorito's just the floppy shoes.
Bullshit excuse. His team is waaaay better than Hagerty and Driskel only threw 3 INTs his junior year. His teammates aren't the ones forcing him to throw it to the other team.
Then the number interceptions thrown on a crappy team don't matter because Driskel sucks.
LMAO carried em alright.
You are a homer. I have sat back and read this entire thread without commenting, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Laughable.
"Who was your source? Church mice in here....." - Coach Muschamp
Sucks is pretty harsh. He has a LONG ways to go though. He has all the arm talent in the world, but you can tell the offense he played in during his HS career has put a damper on his development. One read and run passing offenses only work if you are Cam Newton or Tim Tebow.
Driskel helped win quite a few games for UF last year, so I think sucks is the wrong term to use.
Morris has a ton of arm talent. You either have it, or you don't as a QB. The ball explodes out of his hand.
He also almost helped lose a number of games as well. How would he be perceived if UF would have lost some of those close games against far inferior teams? No flame, serious ?
Which games did he "almost" help UF lose? Then I will answer your question.
I do not consider UGA to be a far inferior team, and IMO that was his worse performance by FAR during the year.
How do you think he was perceived last season?
He didnt look good UGA correct. But what about Bowling Green, Mizzouri and La-Lafeyette?
I think he would be feeling a lot more heat if the record wasn't 11-2. Most UF fans hate Brantley and I don't think Driskel has been any better. Just my opinion.
Driskel is 100x better than Brantley.
Bowling Green- Jeff threw 16 passes only that game. He split reps with JB. Jeff had a 62% completion percentage, threw for 1 TD and no interceptions. Also ran for 24 yards and 3 rush attempts. Jeff definitely didn't win us this game, but he also wasn't even given the opportunity to "almost" lose it.
Missouri- Jeff played pretty poorly in this game. He threw it 23 times and only had 12 completions. He had 1 TD and didn't have any interceptions. He rushed for 5 ypc in this game. He didn't really do anything to lose the game, but he certainly didn't throw the ball with much efficiency. This game was really controlled in the 1st half by Missouri with their ability to convert 1st downs.
ULL- Jeff threw the ball 16 times and completed 13 of them. His YPA was really low because he only threw for 98 yds in this game. He had 1 TD and no interceptions. However, he did have 76 yds rushing in this game. ULL actually moved the ball pretty well against our defense in this game. I don't believe Jeff was really given the opportunity to win or lose this game for UF.
Out of these 3 games you presented, the Missouri game stands out as his only "poor" performance. IMO your statement about him almost losing a lot of games for UF was incorrect. Our offensive staff really limited Jeff's play last year, and a lot of that was because they knew what they had in Jeff as a 1st year starter. With that being said, Jeff's job was to not turn the ball over last year, and the game where he just had an awful performance was UGA. Jeff's job last year was to not lose games, and let the defense win them for UF. That is very easy to see when you look at his numbers.
Driskel is a lot better than Brantley. Absolutely no question about it.
Winky does not have a Miami offer and I didn't attend his school but you are right complete homer.
I'll give you the bowling green game but if the staff trusted him wouldn't they have given him the chance to win the La game? Even the passes he threw where short easy passes. He is only a sophomore though so he has plenty of time to grow. I guess I should also consider that he hasn't had a strong receiving core to throw to. Wish Aubrie Hill was didnt leave
I'm not gonna make any excuses for Jeff. He certainly didn't progress throughout the year, which is worrisome to me.
Flowers won't be a QB at the next level, safety all the way
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Top247 has been updated. State rankings have not been. He's a guy that will ascend in the next sate rankings for sure.
