They need to have working phones. How else are they supposed to leave call back numbers on their job applications?
Do you know how many people abuse the welfare system? And do you know every exact person who abuses it?
No. It's a way for bums to get free phones and tell non bums that they aren't costing nobody nothing.
Those people don't exist.
Stop being such a racist, xenophobic, homophobic, sexist, 1%er.
that's what he is saying.
You're right, they obviously don't exist.
I was already thinking it, you freaking communist.
How do you keep poor people from using their Obama phones? Hide it in their work boots.
I never said they don't exist, but as I expected, everyone on here thinks that every welfare recipient does not at least have a part time job and sits on their couch all day.
Do you think if these people had full time job opportunities that they would turn them down for welfare?
Yes, seen it first hand
Lol I'm not Rich man.. I'm doing well but far from rich.. I make decent money but it's the ones that abuse everything and then complain that piss me off

Alright, I'm out. Poor people are the worst people ever, but never mind the people making millions/billions finding loopholes in the system.
The ones that sit on their couch and wait for said job opportunity to break their door down and slap them across the face?
We'll never know.
That is pretty much true
Exactly right. If you can't afford a phone then you don't need one period
I think you're grossly underestimating the technological requirements, including those imposed by employers, of today's society.
I've never thought such a thing ...
as someone strapped w/ bling gets 3 grocery carts full of shat w/ stamps & then drives off in a loaded Navigator tourching a blunt.
if the Govt wanted to fix the economy they would have already done it.

That would never happen because the people who need welfare and can't work are not looking for full time jobs. The people that are scamming the system are not looking for full time jobs either so where would this "opportunity" come from?
The same goes for unemployment and all of the extended time they can draw it. I know of several people that draw $200 or so a week unemployment. After a few weeks of job hunting they gave up. The ones that were not content with $200 went out and found part time jobs that pay cash but keep drawing unemployment and filing for extensions. The others sit on the couch all day and are not looking for jobs because they have become content with $200 for not working vs $400 for working.
see 51/49 rule
the Govt outwitted by a kid
I read it and posted 1 of a few questions that popped into my head. The theory is interesting but not sure what the next step would be or how that could be sustained after 20 years or so. Would there always be people to fill each category or is that a 1 time thing to try to get back on the right track?
if your car doesnt run you must fix it before you can drive.
the point is that it's obvious we have the means to fix US issues. the question that remains howevwe is does the Govt want it fixed or do they simply prefer that you remain stranded on the side of the road ?
There has to be a sector of the population dependent on the govt. if not, the govt becomes less relevant and necessary. They will never allow that. Plus if you keep, them dependant it guarantees you votes come election time
