I hope this dude succeeds in suing the state and NBC. I did not watch the case and personally don't care about it but I sick up to my ear holes with the news media pretty much saying what ever they want without ramifications and the people having to lose a significant part of their lives because the government suspects something. Now I want to remind you this statement is not about Zimmerman or race or whether he did it or not. It's about people having to put their lives back together after a state or the media zero's in on them and that needs to stop.
George Zimmerman will ask the state of Florida to reimburse him for as much as $300,000 in expenses he racked up successfully defending himself in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, NBC News has learned. Zimmerman and his legal team believe they are entitled to the refund bec
I dream of a day when chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned.
I'm not sure he's entitled to the refund. He did kill the kid afterall. And, he'll make a killing off a book if he wrote one. However, I hope he wins a lawsuit against NBC to send a message that the media does not have the right to lie and wrongfully go after people.
South Carolina Gamecocks. The 2010 National College Baseball Champs.
Us whiteys should be the ones suing IMO.
Defamation of skin tone if I've ever seen it
he deserves every cent he asks for.
should never have gone to trial.
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
Even if he recovers some costs, he can't recover attorney's fees. And he should prepare his anus for a huge civil suit. And he'll be un-employable. So there's that...
So your point of view is when a grown man tracks a kid down even after he was told by police to stop, and then kills said kid, regardless of circumstances, legal proceedings should have never been carried out to convict or pardon said killer? Makes perfect and logical sense.
No he doesn't.
Sadly, the problems in Nebraska are in the coaching offices and the fans that sit in the seats and defend them.
Yep. In fact that is what happened in the first place.Several million taxpayer dollars later and tthey're right where they started.
No you're totally right. Lets free Aaron Hernandez because who needs a court hearing on MURDER of all things. All he's doing is wasting tax payers money. That's the most important aspect of it after all.
Did AH kill in self defense?

I thought these stupid threads were over. Also football season needs to hurry up
Some have missed the point
I think most people must not have watched the trial, they choose to argue based on what they think happened. The creepy ass cracker was trying to rape him, you know that.
Changed my comment because I really don't want to argue over this and I couldn't give a crap about Zimmerman to begin with. Hope he does sue NBC though.

The police never told him to stop....An operator said yea we don't need you to do that.
i love how people just make up facts.
anyone that watched the trial would know this trial was a complete sham from the start.
Z deserves everything he can get from Florida and the media that edited the tape recording.
He won't get his attorney fees back but he will get all of his court costs back. Couple hundred grand. And as ordinary to almost every lawyer I have seen talk about it he will himself have a civil case against the state and of course Nbc. He will also have book deals and probably payments for interviews. He won't need to be hireable in the for seen future.

Not sure if already mentioned, but under the same law, Casey Anthony can also receive $$$ since she was acquitted. Unlike that POS Zimmerman, she has hid pretty low and kept her name out of the press since her trial.
