Games that are carried by ABC/ESPN are shown everywhere in the country one of the network's channels (ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU). The rest of the games fall to the Big Ten Network, which is national. The only time a Big Ten team may not be on national TV is when they play an away game since the TV rights would be with the home team. The only time I saw that happen to Penn State relatively recently was when they played away at Syracuse. Because of the Big East's crappy contract, the game was pushed to ESPN3 if you weren't in the region.
Inadequate about what? Signing an exclusive deal with NBC?
Gotcha broseph. Thanks for the explanation.
They've won 3 of the last 4, what do you think it stems from?
I have no clue. My only guess would be that the majority of them have no life outside of college football. I guess.
So, then it's not the same as what ND has. ND is on national tv EVERY GAME. Even away games against the Big East, ACC or anyone. Even out of the country. Quit trying to compare.
3 time POTW
Actually, it is exactly the same. The away game would be determined by the home team's contract, just as it is now. This new NBC contract doesn't change that.
Penn State football's on national television every week?
Yes but every away game is picked up by a network, if Penn St. goes and plays Wake Forest like we did it wouldn't make TV. The only time you get ACC football even here in SC is the noon game on NBC before ND at 330, we'll put the UVAs and Georgia Techs in primetime games so other schools besides FSU and Clemson can get on TV.
Everybody else tied for 120
Not ranked: AU
You even admitted that not every away game is on tv. I stated that every ND game (home and away) are on national tv. Not regional. ND has their cake, and eats eat. They make their bed, and they sleep in it. Accept it. Never going to change. Winning or losing, it's just the way it is. PSU is probably a good draw in the Northeast. Not national though.
Benefit of the doubt. Thanks for fixing
SEC! SEC! SEC!
Nobody cares about Alabama when they're not winning championships...everyone loves or hates ND, like the Lakers, Yankees, Manchester United...bammers are
Ah yes. The old conference cheer. So glad ND football is Independent
So is the SEC a big draw where you guys are?
only in your neck of the woods I'm afraid
Not listening to a Cane Fan's opinion on this.
No. Why would they be? None of the teams ever leave the comfort of the SE

Too busy winning championships imo.
Oh well. I was wondering if SEC network would reach other regions.
That is simply not true. They are on regionally on ABC etc. Many B10 games in my area are only on Gameplan. Some are not on at all. I have a good friend that I travel to games with who is a Mich fan and the games are not all on here, same with Mich St, PSU etc.
Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
