This isn't the early 90's.......... nobody gives a damn about lifeguards.
LOSCANES >>> LOSNOLES
wtf was this girl thinking anyway? why in gods name would you even put your toes in the water there?
We are arguing over what type of shark it is..... Get to work people.
Haha, believe it or not following fish patterns and determining their species is a large part of my job.
Is it really different? I'm more inclined to believe the story isnt 100% accurate.
Articles state high poulation of "deadly bull sharks".
Weedline says they don't usually bite torso.
See where I'm going with this? Sounds like one witness who is a traumatized family member. Her mind probably remembered it that way, but its probable a bull got ahold of both legs (or an arm and a leg, which often come together while swimming), and the witness saw that as "half"
Weedline, you fish. You should know a bull would cut a girl in half no problem. You can YouTube bull shark chopping up tarpon that would be wider and more muscularly dense than a young girl. Such a terrible event.
Sure I have. But they hardly ever go for a non-moving torso over a flailing limb. That's just the facts. Tarpon do not have any extremities to attack.

This paragraph makes no sense and it's pissing me off for some reason....
"It is the first time a swimmer has been killed by a shark at Reunion, although this is not the first shark attack of the island. Five people have died since 2011, including two this year."
Oh.. And my guess is a Bullshark. Most violent shark out there and will go in shallow water.

Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Was she hot?
They love shallow murky water. I hate scraping the bottom of the boat. The snapper come in there to eat all the crap. People have seen bulls in the canal and more recent crocodiles.
She was French. So I'm leaning toward no.
Imagine being in the water with this thing.
BTW, the guy recording is a fuggin' idiot.
PART 2 of video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShfyNP_a8Gw This great white shark circled our 21ft boat for 20 minutes and made contact with the boat (slapped its tail on the boat). We were about 25 miles southeast of Wrightsville Beach.
Here is further footage and an interview:
No way it was Bull. This girl was sliced in half. That's one of two sharks... Great White or Tiger. That would be the biggest bull shark in the world. Bulls bite extremities and rip. Whites go for the torso. Their bite force is more than capable of cutting a teenage girl in half.
However, those Tigers weed posted are effing huge. They could do it too.
It was a GW.
Hairy legs and armpits led the shark to think she was an otter
Weedline, I know we dislike each other... but I agree with you.
Alabama recon team 4 life
French Canadians don't shave.
99% of french women shave now.
I bet it's a Sand Tiger Shark
Love the shark experts ITT. "Whites go for the torso". Lutz. Whites and Tigers both go for the limbs primarily (or initially, rather).
And no one really knows what happened. It's not confirmed that the girl was bitten clean in half.
Double or nothing on the ten bones you owe me that this was a bull.
I've seen all the JAWS movies and I've seen a great white eat a sail boat and a helicopter
I think it was a great white based on my experience
If she was actually bitten in half I will bet you anything you want it was not a Bull. If her legs were gone, then it may have been.
I wouldn't take that bet. If she was bitten in half one snap, agreed, not bull. Just not buying that's what happened. Given all the bull related fatalities there I'm just going with the odds
