Want to take Antoni off the Lakers' hands?
Would be too nice if they took Antoni. Make room for Brian Shaw to return to LA ideally and Phil come on as an advisor/manager type role.

Hell be the Clippers coach by the weekend.
XoGisele, Ashley Sky, Niki Skyler
Maybe, but Sterling makes it well known that he does not pay his HC's
Haven't all if not most of his recent head coaches needed to sue him to get paid? That's ridiculous and I don't see why anyone would want to work for the man.
Front office staff as well. Olshey couldn't wait to leave, even after he brought in Paul.
Grizzlies called him within 30 mins of him being fired.
Did they fire him? He's a GREAT coach that runs a great offensive system. They've had the #1 O a few times with him as HC.
I think he would be a PERFECT fit for the Clippers (assuming CP3 stays). I hate the clippers but they would be fun to watch with Karl coaching that O.
One of my favorite NBA guy. He's a top 5 coach right now, IMO.
Lakers need Phil Jackson. That's the only way I can see them doing well. Love Karl but I think he fits the Clippers personel better.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
We wish. Good thoughts on this...
Dan Tony's been an abortion of a coach and leader. Took him 6 months to figure out he couldn't implement his system with an aging Laker roster, and an 86 year old point guard.
B-Shaw is very high on our wish list, but I have a feeling Karl or Shaw will be holding a Clipper presser soon. Shaw's at the top of about 3-4 teams--no head coaching experience is the only hold-up.
We'd kill for Phil, but contrary to popular belief - it was not the lucky sperm that is called Jim Buss....it was actually Dr. Jerry Buss who made the decision not to bring back Phil.
He knew his time on earth was limited, and wanted an up-tempo offense that resembled the showtime days of Magic, Worthy, Scott and Kareem before he passed.
Can't fault him...he did so much for the organization, NBA, city of LA and much, much more.
Maybe D'Antoni can migrate to Rutgers...
If the Clips resign CP3, can you imagine what Karl could do with that talent?
Modern miracle what he did (overachieved) in Denver this past season.
We'd kill for Phil, but he has openly stated he won't coach again. He wants a more administrative role and would want to bring in a coach from his coaching tree, most notably (and he may have said it) Brian Shaw because he has full confidence in him.
It is also probably the only way we re-sign Dwight Howard.
But I don't know if Jim Buss will do this. I know there are family issues with him and Jeanie and Phil and that he probably doesn't want Phil around anymore.
Sadly, we will most likely just be stuck with Antoni.
It's a pissing contest between brother and sister.
We locals here, hope they both just whip 'em out....Jeannie's schlong is bigger...much, much bigger.
Phil has said he may return to coaching for the "right" scenario. We all know what that means.....he's said that previously. It's painfully clear from his interviews, he'd jump back on the Laker bench if given the opportunity.
Howard? He's become persona non grata here in Southern California. You'd be surprised (or maybe you wouldn't) how many Laker fans could care less if he resigns.
They should keep Hollins.
Pass. He doesn't like TA and he and Zbo don't get along. Not to mention he doesn't play Ed Davis or Tony Wroten
I am a local too haha. Born in Burbank and lived all my life there (except for college and that came down to USC and Michigan) and working out here now.
And yea Jeannie's got all the power. I wish she were running the basketball side of the Lakers and not the business side. And Phil would return to coaching but probably only the Lakers bench and he wants a say in who plays on the team. Whether that is full control is not known, but Jim probably wouldn't give full control as that alienates Kupchak. Ideally they could all have a "seat at the table" and the 3 of them would discuss players together. Kinda like what Dr. Buss and Jerry West would do.
And I am not surprised at how many don't want Howard back. I kinda am one of them because his attitude pisses me off. He cares way too much about having everyone like him. He also basically told Steve Nash to piss off when Nash came to him with FT shooting advice (and Nash at the time was .3% away from being the best career FT shooter ever). Personally I would like to see a sign and trade that brings back some youth and depth because we have no bench and this team is old. I'd love to send him to Cleveland for a boat load of draft picks or some picks and players but he would have to agree to that in a sign and trade deal I think.
