Happened yesterday in Brazil to a tourist. The attack can be seen in the video below in the link The young victim lost most of her leg and succumbed to blood loss and died even though emergency personal got to her quickly.
Tragedy stuck a beach in northeastern Brazil on Monday when a drowning teenager was fatally bitten by a bull shark seconds before a lifeguard on a personal watercraft arrived to rescue her.
"Because Bama now sucks just like FSU used to suck when we were getting dominated by OU. Does it make sense now?"- Sliger (FSU Fan)
Damn, they got to the her quick too.
How about the guys swimming in her wake with all that blood? Most dangerous place to be. Bull Sharks are known to be very aggressive over their kills and they almost always make a second pass at their victim....especially when someone or something is trying to take it. They were very lucky here. Brave guys IMO
This tells me sharks are targeting teenage girls.
They like booty
LOSCANES >>> LOSNOLES
Those sharks are mean as F. I'm not scared of sharks but I'm terrified of bull sharks. If there is a sighting of them I'm not going in. If it's most of the other sharks in the Gulf I will still go in.
I couldnt really see the cloud of blood they mentioned in the article. I'm colorblind, so I missed it because of that I guess. Safe to assume the big splash was from the shark, so I guess I see when it happened. Sad to see that.
There doesn't have to be a sighting, if you are in the ocean around the coast especially within 100 miles of a tributary they are there
But the Boston bombing guy with his legs blown off was fine, getting wheeled around 30 minutes after the blast?

I would bite him back...
Dive for the thrill, shoot for the kill.
Dirty water. That's the worst.
Growing up surfing in central Florida, I always liked it when the water was clear. That way you could see what was coming. Also, during the bait runs in spring and especially early fall, if it started getting hectic out there, it was best to just go in. That was a big bull shark judging from the tail whipping many feet away from the girls head.
I don't surf but I do fish a lot.. I've always been amazed how ignorant people are when the tarpon start rolling in on the beaches. When my wife & I were dating, I made her get out when a big school came by us (we were just at the beach) & she was telling me I was being paranoid. Like 10 minutes later a big bull came up rolling on the tarpon right where we were. Funny story, this foreign couple was telling everyone who missed it that a great white attacked while these Yankees were saying it ate a huge Pike... 'Merica
I would just let them stay out there, Darwin needs to work his magic faster IYAM.
Crazy thing is they are surviving and breeding in fresh water rivers now.
Wait, so the person was already drowning? What the hell were they doing so far out?
I won a bet with a friend when i told him that Bulls have made it up to the Ohio. Now he wants to go shark fishing in the river.
Sarah sorry about the Herpes.
Been fishing my whole life, which helps me understand what's going on out there w/ bait and predators. I know just what you mean. New Smyrna is the worst for sharks.
There have been some huge ones caught in the Mississippi
Yeah buddy i can't wait to see the other fishers faces when we catch a Catfish and high five each other cause we caught bait.
They have been found as far north as Minnesota, ya! You can regularly find them in coastal creeks, rivers and lakes that are connected to an ocean (other than arctic).

Yeah, the guy got there fast. He just might have saved someone else's life by getting those other swimmers out of the water like he did. Interesting how they had a camera right on the girl that was drowning. I'm supposing that's how the guy on the watercraft got the heads up?
She could have answered the age old question, "would you rather drown or be eaten by a shark?"
