No, because it's none of my business.
America, where you're free to live the life WE want you to live.
You typify the image of southern ignorance and flat out stupidity. What are you afraid of? In your avatar you sure look like what you hate. Really what are you afraid of. Did you get your fudge packed too tight?
1) Sure 2) No.
I'm not offended by two men expressing their love for each other any more than I am a man and a woman, or two women. Just because you're afraid of something doesn't make it unnatural.
On that note though - how do you define "natural"?
Yes they are a threat to the human race. Their is a reason God created a man and a woman. The world wasn't meant to be one big sausage fest.
Natural, what nature intended. Not two dudes pounding eachother in the ass
So while we're ridding the world of gay people, we should also rid the world of infertile people, since procreation is how we define relationships. We should also close down the CDC and ban all antibiotics. After all, disease is nature's population control.
Gay people are no more a threat to the human race than straight people born sterile. In fact, they're even less of a "threat," since they are still physically capable of reproducing. It's not like gay people convert straight people to gay. Viewing gay people as a "threat" to the continuation of the human race is a nonsensical pseudo-scientific view advanced by people who don't understand that gay people still have and raise children all the time.
How do you know what nature intended? Your romantic feelings for women - is that part of nature? If a man is born with those feelings towards other men, how is that not natural?
Just playing devil's advocate because I have no issue with gays or gay marriage, but I do think people choose to be gay. Obviously, you don't. Can you explain why you think people are born gay and why you think gay couples would not influence adopted children to choose to be gay?
Edit: This "gay gene" that people constantly refer to seems to be an unproven theory/myth.

So how do you feel on the speration of Church and State?...Oh wait its just one of those silly things folks like you leave out of your ignorance playbook.
If you cant be honest....whats the point of being anything?
A man and a woman were created to reproduce. Two man or two woman can't do that. Not hard to grasp.
To counter your question with a question, how do straight couples end up with gay children? The majority of people I know personally that are gay have straight parents.
What's in my avatar? Haven't seen it in awhile and can't remember. I'm not afraid of anything. Just seeing 2 dudes kiss and hold hands makes my skin crawl. It's sickening. It's repulsive. It's disgusting. It's vomit-inducing. I can't help it. That's my natural reaction to seeing this sickening, repulsive, disgusting and vomit-inducing behavior. I'm not saying I can do anything to stop it but I can't help how it makes me feel. It's literally the most horrendous visual sight I can think of. Sorry if that offends you.
So what's your point? A gay man or a gay woman can still reproduce. There are plenty of gay couples who either donate sperm (gay men) or get inseminated (gay women) and naturally bear children. But we're not talking procreation, we're talking marriage, chief.
Who said ridding the world? procreation is the main reason for getting married, to start a family.
Nature also defends against infections, but lets just leave that out of this
So when do we get to round them up and force them to march to Gay settlements and force them to live by laws we make up for them and then kill the ones that dont?? Oh thats right that was the indians. How did that work out for us and all our grandstanding?? Thats right we the christian white man that is always superior almost killed off an entire race of people. All because they didnt look or act like us. Go figure we are still in that business huh?
Well, without sounding like an asshole, tough sh!t. You're "disgust" for them is immaterial; two people are in LOVE. You'll just have to learn to deal with it. Just like all of these old, backwoods rednecks get "disgusted" seeing a white women kissing a black man.
Well that wasn't overly dramatic.
LOL you are really good at putting words in other peoples' mouths. I guess that's what lawyers do so I shouldn't be surprised.
I am not "afraid" of gays at all. Honestly I don't really care if gays get the right to marry or not. I am completely indifferent.
I just find the thought of two guys sodomizing each other disgusting and not a natural behavior. I would venture to say the majority of people would agree with me on that. Does that mean I hate gay people or want to keep them from being able to live a normal life? Of course not.
Gay people have the right to be gay, and I have the right not to like it.
Wrong. Procreation is the main reason for having sex.
Love is the basis for marriage. It is your choice what you do next. And what some of you leave out of this is the adoption of the children. The gays cant have children so they help the less fourtunate..
But please go on with your ignorance to anything outside your own ideas.
No it's not. Not in modern society. The main reason for getting married is because you love someone. My parents couldn't conceive "naturally" so I was adopted. Since they could not procreate, is my family somehow less meaningful than yours?
And no, the level to which "nature" defends against disease is much, much lower than with the help of modern medicine.
Just keeping it relative...
Two prime reasons:
1) Can you tell me the moment you "chose" to be straight? Because I can't tell you when I made that decision, but I'm still straight. Similarly, no gay person can tell you the moment they "chose" to be gay, because it didn't happen - they were born that way. You show me someone who says they "chose" to be gay, and I'll show you a liar.
2) With all the persecution, disadvantages, discrimination, and outright hatred, why would anyone actively choose to be gay? It just makes no logical sense to believe that 8-10% of the population has a martyr complex so intense that they've chosen to spend their life being persecuted. I've had gay friends struggle so hard with desperately wanting to be straight that it consumes their lives. These are kids who would do ANYTHING to fit in with heterosexual society, but no matter how hard they try, they can't. If you've ever worked with confused teens as a counselor, you'd realize the depths of self-loathing some kids go through because they want so desperately to be straight, but they simply can't.
Here's the final thing: one of my best friend's brothers killed himself because of the abuse and condemnation he suffered as a gay male. If he was given a choice, I'm sure he would've chosen not to suffer the torture he went through every day, but he had no more of a choice to be straight than I do to be a different race.
I'd rather be orphaned...
You're totally right, you do. So tell me this: Either way, marriage or not, gay people will still be gay and you'll still be disgusted by it, regardless. What then is the big deal with just allowing them to get married, if that's something they truly want? Are people that dislike homosexuality going to dislike it even more just because they get some paperwork from the government?
