to use on their own people. Well, we won't wait till the first bomb drops....is this our entry moment? Doubt it would take many boots on the ground. A couple hundred precision bombs and a Seal Team 6 type deployment on the President and its likely over in 12-24 hours.
This Syrian situation going forward is CRUCIAL to Middle East stability.
I don't even think we should do that much. I say we don't lift a finger and let people work out their own problems without the US having to intervene.
Screw getting involved in all these other countries' problems. Cruise missiles and drones should be the maximum force used on our part.
Seal Team 6? I would say more like the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. That's not Bin Laden we are going after.
Atom bomb the country
No more of our men on the ground, I have zero problem with bombs and missiles but enough of our boys saving a bunch of ungrateful a--holes who will shoot us in the back as soon as we turn around.
How about we don't let Americans die in other people's war.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
You quite literally posted exactly what I posted. You added no-fly zone.
I lean isolationist if anything but folks saying a rogue government dropping Sarin gas on their people is "their problem" have some serious issues.
I agree...it just sucks though, cause we honestly are in a no-win situation in any Arab country
Not guilty y'all got to feel me
The thing is the middle east has, is and will always be unstable. For the next 1000 year's. Some things will never change. They hate each other. You know, like most of us.
I guess I have issues then.. Screw letting our people die to help people that will hate us more anyways.
We have a winner. Let them deal w it, we don't need to be the worlds police.
Genocides are extremely rare and WWII is completely different than this Syria stuff. Risk saving lives to get our Americans killed when they're going to kill off a lot of their own people regardless?
Agree to disagree, this is one situation I think the USA should stay away from.. Now, if the UN helped and it wasn't JUST Americans, that's a different story.
I normally enjoy your posts but this is a terrible comparison.
It's not a comparison you nimrod. It was a philosophical reminder. Good grief, it's no surprise you and teenager BLF thought it was so inappropriate. Your perspective stretches back to just after Carson Daly hosted TRL.
The IDEA that peoples issues "over there" are those peoples' issues is what kept many people from getting involved when Adloph first started looking shady as all hell.
Do you really think countries like Syria are that big of a threat to us? I said we should use drones and cruise missiles. We could target military positions and destroy their weapons stockpile but I damn sure don't want one single American to lose their life over what is happening in Syria.
Also any comparison made back to WW2 is not exactly apples to apples with what is happening today. Technology today as far more advanced and our intel capabilities are much better. We can keep them in check without resulting to full blown war.
I don't give a sh-t about these countries.
Oath Before Orders
Just nuke the middle east nothing but problems from that region
60% of the worlds known oil reserves also come from that region.
A threat to us? No, are you so dumb as to believe anyone anywhere is afraid of Syria? He was saying, and I agree, that the idea you argued was in fact the line of thinking that is historically rued from back when Hitler came to power. You are making a straw man here.
NO ONE with a functioning brain compares Syria's domestic upheaval with the emergence of the Nazi party. Wow.
Send in the Drone Army!
In what sounds like another improbable Star Wars defense system, the Office of Naval Research is working on a drone army that it hopes will be operational by 2020. By Lakshmi Sandhana.
I agree with your position, but you should chill a little and stop calling people dumb who disagree. Thats why the tBB cant have nice things
They've got oil. They produce about. 400,000 barrels a day. Not a lot but they've got enough for us to be labeled.
I should stop. Some folks make conversations impossible because they are though. Taking Lamp's post as a comparison of the Nazis to modern Syria is just too much for me to ignore, but yeah, I nee to chill
