Planning on going down there with some friends to celebrate finishing finals. Anyone ever been/could recommend areas to stay/things to do? We were gonna go down to NC or SC but figured we'd have a better shot of good weather in May if we went down to Georgia.
Its very quiet/peaceful, if you are there to enjoy it with a close group of friends you should like it
But if you are expecting MTV's spring break you will be disappoint
I liked it though, its a cool little beach town that is very relaxing
I love that whole area for the most part, downtown Savannah was a breath of fresh air to me and I loved the whole carry your beer anywhere rule they have downtown

fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Better go ahead and book a place. South end of the beach is closer to the bars and restaurants. Ocean plaza is on the beach, but don't recommend. Racquet Club on the North end is nice. You probably are better served by renting a house/bungalow. Most places have a three day minimum.
Didn't mean to quote
We're renting a house for 4 or so days, booking this week. Looking towards the north near 1st Street or even further North.
Thanks for the input
Not expecting spring break, just get hammered and have fun on the beach. Savannah worth a trip for the day or night if we have a DD?
Rent a house. Eat at bernies back porch. Drink beer and hang out on the beach. Its one of my favorite places.
Savannah is definitely worth the trip, especially if you have never been.
Yes Savannah is a great town. Watch "Midnight In the Garden of Good and Evil" before going.

Check out Sam Adams band. Personal friend, good musician.
I say yes, for sure
I love that downtown drinking section
Right on the water and very southern feel to it all, I enjoyed it a lot mane
I would say yes for sure
If you go downtown, City Market, also The House of
Madi Hari. If you want top shelf eats, Sundae Cafe on the island, hands down the best game in town.
Thanks fellas, appreciate the advice.
Come on down, we stupid southerners love stealing money for you Northern people!!
