Ummm..no. The Queen is head of the Church of England, and the COE is run day-to-day by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Parliament and government have nothing to do with the Church and do not financially support it. And it's not like this just started in England it's been this way since Henry VIII almost 500 years ago. I'd say they have done rather well under this arrangement.
*The only connection the COE has with the State is through the monarchy and that 26 leaders of the Church are permitted to sit in the, has been, House of Lords.
