Yes, Greece crashed, because 1 Their debt to gdp ratio was almost double that of the United States, and 2 They could no longer inspire confidence from investors to meet their debt obligations.
Just because Greece crashed at around 180 percent of GDP doesn't meant every country that reaches that level will crash, some are already past it.
With the United States' world standing, their is not telling to how high of level we could push our debt without facing dramatic repercussions, especially if the US dollar remains the world's currency of choice.
We just got out of a recession, there is no reason to implement any type of austerity right now when have years to limit our debt, which will only be made easier when economic growth fuels government revenues.
Romney is going to win Michigan and Arizona.
