"In total, it appears that there will be 30 million to 40 million people damaged in some fashion by the Affordable Care Act—more than one in 10 Americans."
Pretty good article.
From Yahoo! Finance: In recent weeks, there have been increasing expressions of concern from surprising quarters about the implementation of ObamaCare. Montana Sen. Max Baucus, a Democrat, called it a ...

It's gonna be a train wreck. The only substantial legislation Obama has had will hurt 30-40 million people. Shocking.
Remember the multiple page threads on here by the liberals blasting the dominoes CEO for cutting hours?
Maybe those idiots understand now.
What would our government have to budget to cover a single payer system?
Explain it all please. I'm really interested in your theory on single payer and what costs would be associated with it. Because anything other than the abortion that's about to happen is a viable option IMO.
In theory, single payer sounds great. The problem lies in that the government itself, controls it. There is no doubt that it would be miss managed to a huge degree. Then if its state by state ran, I'd be cool with that as long as it works like car insurance. The less medical problems you have, the less premium you pay. For instance....my insurance carrier has my employees take physicals each year. If they get a clean bill of health and are smoke/tobacco free then their premium is substantially lower than someone who doesn't.
Obamacare is a massive failure and I can't wait to see the chaos it will bring.
Most normal people would at least wait until the total law had gone into effect before labeling it a "massive failure."
The light you see at the end of the tunnel is the front of an oncoming train.

You mean like the people who actually voted it into law.
Tell me again what Max Baucus thinks of the law he helped pass? I mean it's a major piece of his re-election platform, right?
and when single-payer priced 65% of the doctors out of the market?
It will fail and it will be glorious to watch you and BLF try and spin it.
Would you be ok with smokers paying higher premiums than non-smokers?
Would you be ok with smokers that get it for free still getting it for free?
Very little I agree with Obama on, but I will say this: Thankful I was able to stay on my parent's insurance. That $85K brain tumor would've been a bitch to deal with as my first major piece of my own plan.
I can't imagine that poor smokers will have to pay anything. But I can imagine tax paying smokers will have pay more.
I would prefer single payer to this system. Though I am personally in favor of a tier'ed system, when the bottom tier is single payer, then you can pay for a higher level of care if you so choose, and are able.

You seem so sure about what the future holds. Got any lottery numbers for me?
Honest question to everyone in this thread:
Would you rather see a) Obamacare succeed and Obama get credit, or b) Obamacare fail and Obama get blamed?
Of course succeed. Ultimately if anyone is rooting against what is best for our country, is just wrong. Who cares if the Kenyan gets credit or not.

See, this is the right attitude. I feel like a whole lot of people, both on this board and elsewhere, are actively rooting for Obamacare to fail. It seems like there's a large contingent of people who want to be right and want to see Obama look bad, without considering the consequences.
That is true,,, but there are also a whole lot of people who see this for what it is, are honest about it and realize the disaster it will become.
Of course there are some that want everything that Obama does to fail. That is ridiculous when most of it means that it will negatively affect them. However, many didn't want Obamacare shoved down their throats in the first place. "We have to pass it to find out what is in it." I'd guess that 80+% of people still don't even know what it is in it. The Democrats that voted for it and the Republicans that voted against it are included.
