Well, my health insurance went up by 28% this year and the I had to increase my deductibles by almost 100%. I have spoke to other business owners and they have already started cutting full time jobs. Best way I have heard is from Dunkin Donuts franchise owners having and employee work 25 hours for them and then 15-20 hours for another franchise owner. That way they can avoid it. More and more people are going to go part time and be forced to get health care from the government.
FUnny that Bill Maher is now raising hell over his taxes. When they have to start paying, notice they don't like it. Like Warren Buffett who says raise my taxes, but don't tax private jets bc I own a company that would be hurt badly by that or don't build the keystone pipeline because I own a railroad company that happens to have a lot of tanker cars so I will transport the crude from Canada no problem and make a fortune while I do it. Liberals say one thing, but when it affects them, they can't stand it.
My son's message to Obama, Clemson, and Georgia
Not if we keep thinking that the way the world worked for the Romans is the same way the world works today, no.
The CBO now estimates up to 20 million Americans will lose health care due to Obamacare.
Create a plan to cover 15 million, take away coverage for 20 million in the process. Haaaaa. That is the perfect example of Obama's brilliance.
Obamacare is a lot of handwringing about nothing.
Obama could have funded it entirely out of his own pocket and people still would've bitched about something.
The "Obama phone" program has been in existence for years and was originally passed by republicans.
Upto 20 million with coverage will lose coverage due to Obamacare. That's a lot of handwringing about nothing?
The last war we should have got involved in was Korea. Period.
Millions of lives and billions of dollars could have been saved because we accomplished more or less nothing.
What happens once they lose coverage? Whats your point?
I know its not your forte but lets do some critical thinking here...
Are they barred from every getting insurance again?
If most of them make minimum wage, how much will it cost them to get insurance?
If you use your brain a little, you will realize that most of those 20 million will receive free or heavily subsidized insurance.
Im not agreeing that ObamaCare is great, but employers shouldn't be involved in the insurance market in the first place.
People working at Dunkin Donuts or Papa Johns for $8.00 an hour are not going to have any trouble getting free or cheap insurance.
So you have no problem with a plan designed to help 15 million get insurance, actually knock 20 million out of having insurance already?
20 million that do have insurance on their own accord through their jobs. However, you think it is wrong that they work and have insurance through their employer, and it shouldn't be that way. Those people should do the right thing and let the government give them free healthcare or heavily subsidized healthcare?
You believe employers shouldn't be involved in providing employees healthcare insurance, that should strictly be the government's job?
>>Sloooowwwwly backs away<<<<<<
Let me guess, doesn't have a real job. We have to pay for this, that's why it pisses us off
Well Scoot, you have to admire those on here that don't have a job and never have had a job. They are the only ones that have all the answers.
The idea that we could subjugate the ME is so beyond preposterous that I don't even know where to begin...
I'll start with... You being completely delusional regarding our military capabilities and the capabilities of ME countries...
1. Many, if not all muslim nations have advanced weaponry. They are not fighting with spears and flintlocks.
2. They would have a huge advantage of terrain and the will to fight to the last man.
3. We would be at a huge tactical and supply disadvantage due to distance.
4. Pakistan has nuclear weapons and a million man standing army.
5. Iran has advanced weaponry and easily a million man standing army.
6. Do you realize how many nations qualify as 'Middle Eastern'? How much territory that involves? How many millions and millions of men, women and children would happily throw themselves into a savage, bloody, asymmetrical conflict against the Great Satan? Do you understand that there are many other nations across the globe that identify themselves as Muslim? That they would ALL immediately come to their aid? How many fronts we'd have to fight on? How we'd have absolutely zero logistical or economic support from our allies? How about what it would do to our economy? The world's economy? Hello? These are oil producing countries.
The only freedom we have to offer that they'd ever willingly embrace is freedom from the oxygen habit. Subjugate? Dude, we put boots on the ground in that kind of war and we'd LOSE.
Do you not understand that there are huge cultural differences between colonial era Indians, europeans, indigenous peoples and say... The Vietnamese? Or the Pashtuns? What was the primary cultural difference, as it pertains to subjugation, between the Germans/Italians and the Japanese? Atoms were smashed for a reason.
You are looking at the short term and being intentionally stupid.
Most of those people that lose their employer provided insurance, like the employees at Papa Johns or Dunkin Donuts, are poor or close to poor. They are now eligible for "free" medicaid or subsidized private insurance.
Saying that Obamacare is failure because 20 million people will lose employee provided health insurance for two weeks before they sign up for another insurance plan is a bit myopic. They are already paying for part of their employee provided insurance anyway, either thru a % of the contributions or a lower salary.
I never said its the government's job to provide insurance. However, large corporations provide insurance because it is was originally more profitable for companies than increasing wages. Benefits became a substitute for increasing wages. Asian and European companies aren't forced to provide health insurance, and that gives them a large ($7,000 - $15,000 per employee) advantage in the global economy.
Companies that quit providing insurance will have to offer increased wages to hire the best workers, so in the long run those 20 million people that lose their insurance will be alright,
Insurance premiums were already increasing rapidly before "ObamaCare". Whether its a good law or not, the law was partly created to address those spiraling costs, and all of the cost savings implementations are still a few years away from becoming law, so the jury is still out on whether Obamacare is a success or failere.
An article from Investors Business Daily full of sentences with should, would, could, if, and possibly, isn't evidence that ObamaCare is a "failure" for people that can read above the 8th grade level.

You could condense your rant down to, 'it doesn't matter because the government will take care of them."
You make it clear that Americans are too worthless and ignorant to take care of themselves, and that task is best left to the government.
The jury is not still out on Obamacare. If you listened to the CBO or insurance executives, it is clear that Obamacare is the train wreck everyone with an IQ above 40 knew it was when it was passed
But, you sleep well knowing you bear no responsibility for any aspect of your life. That chore is entirely in the hands of your government.
Lol. No just no. None of that changes anything.
You just don't know what you are talking about.
I have an over-priced and worthless advanced degree in this ish. Not to mention I used to work for one of the biggest fvck ups in Sec Dev history. That has to count for something.
Fine, so I'll join you in Imaginationland... I snap my fingers and we now have absolute military control over the entirety of the middle east. Could they be subjugated? "No" would be the answer from 99.99% of anyone that does this for a living. And the reasons are manifold.
Do the Russians have military and technical superiority over the Chechens? Yes. Do the Russians play by the same rules that we do? No. They execute (and rape) anyone that even arches an eyebrow, civilians included. They go scorched earth on any town even suspected of ever harboring a separatist. Have the Chechens been subjugated? Not even close. Why?
Because they haven't killed enough of them.
So what do you suggest we do? Because what we are doing isn't working worth a damn.
Chit man there are towns scattered all over Chechnya that have no males left over the age of 12. If you want to go big you have to go ALL the way. See: Japan. And we just don't do that. Not even close. And we don't occupy or play police well. It's not what our military is built to do.
If I had an answer I'd win six Nobel peace prizes in a row. Getting some of these places out of the bronze age would be a good start imo. Barring pouring billions into infrastructure and education our best bet is to just keep them in line from afar. They step out of line and we carpet bomb them back another 200 years.
Removing Islam from the equation completely, the biggest problem is cultural. This is over-simplification but it's a double edged sword... The majority of these peoples only respect force. But bring it down on them and the next ten generations are raised to hate you. Da fug if I know what to do
The fact that he thinks he knows what exactly is gonna happen is hilarious.
He is certain the governement will take care of everyone, because that is what the government is supposed to do.
He seriously sees it as good that 20 million could lose their health care insurance, because then the government can step in and pay for their insurance. Getting a job and having health insurance as part of your benefit package is a bad thing. Being a deadbeat and letting the government support you is the way this country was meant to work.
Your last paragraph...you can only do those things through occupation.
Again the British occupied this area...so can we.
This country exist for the sole benefit of the poor. The rest of us just live here.
I wonder if I can get some kind of government funding to start an adopt a deadbeat program.
