Its ok, I love that hurdler.
Sorry 'bout it.
Out of curiosity, why do you consider this to be the premier event? I've always considered track & field to be such. It's the core of the Olympics dating back to their beginnings in Greece, and a majority of the iconic Olympians have been track & field athletes. But to each their own.
Here is an article that articulates much better how I feel than I could myself. TL;DR, but some interesting stuff IMO.
Also included is an article about the popularity of women's gymnastics in these games.
One of the most popular sports in the Summer Olympic Games is woment receive the the same amount of accolades and attention.
From Yahoo! News: The most popular sport at the 2012 Summer Olympics will be women's gymnastics, according to predictive analytics run by the popular American sports media site Bleacher Report. And it won't even be close.
If they are basing it off of last the olympics, this could be wrong.
Nastia Lukin and Shawn Johnson were both hot (especially Nastia)... There aren't any hotties on this team
You're lazy with that android boost mobile.
I had to type her name and all...
I don't get how girls so young are so good
McKayla Maroney isn't bad. She always tries to look sultry in her pictures.
Fab five, two days before team qualifying.
Aly Raisman. She, along with Jordyn Wieber and Gabby Douglas will be competing in all four events. McKayla Maroney and Kyla Ross (third and second from the right, respectively) will be the event specialists.

Creepy thread potential is high
Not guilty y'all got to feel me
IMO, it's the high activity level in short bursts that draws attention. I love to watch certain track events but I am pretty certain to not watch a 8000meter distance race... same goes with swimming events, hard for me to control my ADD for a 50 lap event.

I also think it has to do with the apparatuses as well. The things those girls do on the four-inch balance beam is nervewracking and amazing at the same time.
I look forward to seeing Aly in all four events
This. I took gymnastics for cheerleading and actually got on a balance beam. My respect for gymnasts went way up after that. It is amazing that anyone can flip around like they do but to do it on a four inch beam is unreal.
Not to mention the uneven bars too.
Also, anybody who has ever touched a pull up bar couldn't begin to imagine swinging around it while doing tricks in the process. Well, we could probably imagine it but that ish aint ever happening.
No more pics.. These girls are WAY to young.. Feel weird looking at them

Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
She's from Dewitt, MI
She is. Definitely makes me proud to be a Michigander.
She's also not very easy on the eyes.
good post - have not seen this shot before , they are unreal and could take it all
I'm not ashamed to say I follow their Twitters and Instagram updates.
