Yea I'm gonna read the novel when it comes out.
Three W's In My Life: Ward, Weinke, and Winston
Figured I would get a head start. Started in February of last year, so there are a good amount of books already. It's not monthly, but pretty close.
Its not weird to be amazed by a game and then neither see nor hear anything about it for a while.

You should prepare yourself to live with the consequences of your decisions, whatever they may be.
The awesomeness that could have been had by it being an RPG.... It makes me sick knowing what could have been
University of Alabama: The high mark of college football since 1892
I know. FWIW I read that comic last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Gonna go try to get the rest of the series tomorrow. While it's great seeing everything you're reading, it goes by really fast. I read the first issue in probably 20 minutes.
I would certainly enjoy seeing the pictures and stuff to give me a better idea of what the environment looks like. Yeah with pictures there is not near as much reading material but I think that is a pretty decent trade off if the material itself is quality.
Anyone have an idea of why there were never novels that covered what happened during the video games of KOTOR 1 and 2? I'm on the second out of four of the OR novels and was kind of longing for such a novel.
Might be some out there. There were accompanying novels for the force unleashed. Have you checked the timeline?
Yea I've looked. Only 4 adult novels for OR. I'm going to read them all. I'm going to read force unleashed when I get to it. Just wondering why they never did. Revan mentions events from it but doesn't cover the actual events.
Her problems are pretty well documented. Which is why I have had doubts she would come back for the new trilogy.
Also might be a comic line out there. Never knew how much Star Wars comics there were until recently.
Not too interested in the comics right now. Like you said earlier it takes about 20 minutes to read them. I might get a big collection of them in one book if I could find a subject I was interested in but as of now the Adult novels have my attention.
That's the way to go honestly. Graphic novels that compile multiple books. They have those for Star Wars FWIW.
Saw some at Barnes last night. None perked my interest.
Gonna go to a used bookstore and look as well.
Btw Thanks for the recommendation to go with a tablet to read SW novels. It's pretty awesome.
My son just had his 5th birthday last weekend. This past Xmas I bout him the Blue Ray set of all the available episodes because he had never seen them. We watched them all concurrently needless to say he's all in.
His Bday party was Star Wars themed and we hired actors who played Chewey, Vadar and Luke. It was epic.
I think alot of the parents had to be freaking out when we gave every kid a light saber so the actors could train them in the Jedi Arts. 40 kids with weapons haha.
I'll post some images later.
My wife dressed up as Princess Amadalla(sp) in the white body suit. Let's just say that body suit has gone into after hours repertoire. I'll def post the pics.
Here's one of me, I was dressed as Solo. I take defending the galaxy very seriously....
Dude you're awesome!
That's awesome dude, I have no doubt that was the most epic birthday ever.
Question for those who read the books and/or are familiar with wookipedia. Do yall feel as if the writers have made some force powers too crazy? And what do you think about it in general, do yall like the midichlorian stuff, or think everyone had the same ability and some just unlock it better and try harder than others?
Specifically which powers?
I think the way some of the authors portray Sith Lords vs. Jedi in the OR is kind of off.
There will be a powerful Sith Lord and he will just slice and run against Jedi and they never stood a chance. Also being able to force push Jedi so hard they crash into a wall and die. I'm like they couldn't have at least put up a little fight?
One of the coolest things I've seen on the opposite viewpoint though was in an OR MMO videogame trailer. I think it was the Hope one on Alderaan where a Republic soldier was not doing too bad against a Sith Lord.
They probably do imbelish a little to make the characters more badass.
I was all over with that last post.
Guess I don't know where I stand really.
