The Oklahoman newspaper reported Monday that, were Oklahoma to win the Big 12 this weekend, the Sooners would try to avoid returning to the Fiesta Bowl and instead work a trade to the Sugar Bowl. (UPDATE: Oklahoma
Would love a match up with Florida.
Same. I pray to God that we don't get LU/Rutgers or Kent State. Oregon is my ideal matchup.
Smart move. Anybody who's been to the fiesta bowl knows its trash. They're been there a lot.
Pretty laughable they are blaming it on their alumni not wanting to go to the bowl that their conference is contractually obligated to. Uh, sure.
Oklahoma doesn't want to play in the FIesta Bowl period. They have played in Arizona for their bowl game 4 out of the last 6 years. That is why they are trying to trade out of the game.
Worst place ever.
Independence bowl is more fun.
Big 12 is lucky the sec is locking them in the sugar bowl.
It would have been a lot easier getting out of the Insight bowl last year than it is the Fiesta this year. They don't want to see their fans travel to AZ just to get embarrassed.
I don't believe that at all. I doubt they want to go to Arizona two years in a row.
It really doesn't matter anyway because more than likely KSU is going to win the Big 12 and Oklahoma will go to the Sugar Bowl anyway.
