From the looks of it Ole Miss is #11 in team recruiting ranking and are likely to snag the 2 top 10 recruits and another 4 star or two. Where could Ole Miss end up ranked in recruiting? And more importantly how are they pulling this of?!
Freeze is a good recruiter, student of Coach Orgeron. Tony Conner goes to SPHS, a OM pipeline. Laquon Treadwell has a former teammate on the squard, which originally drew attention but after visiting he really likes Ole Miss. Then RNK as we all know has a brother on the team.
ole miss has about as much potential as a flea bitten chipmunk.
We are going to have 8-10 more slots to fill.
I think we pick up 3 of the top 20 (composite) players in the country. Doing that, and being number 11 already, I would think puts you at around number 5. Especially if we pick up Daniel and Carr which most around Oxford believe we will.
Ole Miss under Hugh Freeze is certainly going in the right direction.
With the right coach, Ole miss has all the potential in the world. I personally think they have the nicest campus in the SEC.
I am really impressed with the improvement of Ole Miss in such a short time. The problem is that they still play in the west. But I think they will cause some problems in the SEC for sure.
They keep pulling classes like the one they are going to pull this year and you are damn right they are going to cause problems.
Hugh Freeze is a good coach. You give him elite talent and he'll be right there with the rest of the best in the conference. It will take another season or two but they aren't far.
Its almost unbelievable how quickly they improved. 7 wins looked impossible in August but if 3 plays had gone differently they had a chance at 10 wins. 19 starters coming back and some impact freshman could cause a lot of problems next year for some teams. Playing in the West really hurts though
This class may set the tone for the next 4-5 years. At the end of this process, it is more likly than not we will have a top 5 class (on 247) With RNK 5*, Treadwell 5*, Conner 5*, Hooks 5*, K. Moore High 4*, all on board. Not to mention kids like Snoop and Dodson we already have locked up. Also, have inside track to Daniel (5*) and getting a lot of interest from a BUNCH of other kids for that Jan.25th vist.
This class is a bit of an anomaly. Lots of things have lined up well for it to happen. I expect them to be 4th in the West til one of the big boys snags Freeze.
money does talk and enough could sway him but he doesnt seem like that kind of guy. He's a mississippi boy it'll be tough to pry him away. I'm pretty sure he's called Ole Miss his dream job
He has called Ole Miss his dream and Destination job. Does not mean that if someone came in and offered 5 MIL he wouldnt go. I think he would give OM a discount, but we would have to be more than competitive. I also think there are very few jobs he would leave for, and after one 7 and 6 year, hes got a lot more to prove before someone like Texas would offer CHF.
