Was because LSU wore down Bama so much that their legs were gone. If they didn't play than Bama would have smoked them
aTm didnt have a bye week all yr, and were playing their 3rd straight road gm.
Atm won because they were the better team that game. Nothin more nothin less
Its all good. Had little effect on anything, at least for us.
If A&M were to play LSU today, A&M would win by 7-10, you got lucky that we had 6 turnovers.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
Your QB sucks against fast defense. Look at LSU, won't use Florida cuz that was his first game
Auburn and mississippi st, come on man
So what happen to that 7-0 season, lost how many in a row
Yep. Really worked out nicely for us. It's like that game never happened.
Our QB had a bad game against one of the best defenses in the nation. Manziel played his worst game against LSU (also give him a pass on his first game), but we won't know if it was due to the LSU defense or just a bad game until after the next couple of years. I am going to go with a bad game by Manziel, but it sure didn't help that LSU has a defense that is built to capitalize on their opponents mistakes.
Putting on my maroon colored glasses, the interception on the pass that bounced off Evans hands was a game changer. If he catches that ball I think we score on that drive and win the game...?
I thought it was because you used up all of your miracles getting past that juggernaut that is Ole Miss. They manhandled you but you miraculously eked out a win.
Yeah I mean its not like we pulled out a desperate last minute win against Kansas or anything...
I bet Ole Miss would beat the juggernaut that is Kansas by more than four points...
Standing on a hill in my mountain of dreams,
Telling myself it's not as hard as it seems - Led Zeppelin
Or choked one away to West Virginia . . .
Didn't Texas destroy Ole Miss
So Bama's defense is not fast?
Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
Not this year, the lbs and D-Line are slower than usual
1. We were coming off an emotional high.
2. We had to prepare for a complete different offense in one week after preparing for a pounding offense
3. It was evident that we did not have our legs under us. Saban even said it himself - I tried to turn up the tempo at practice, but I just couldn't - because they were physically and emotional drained. After the first quarter we found our rhythm on offense and the defense found themselves in the 2nd quarter. The rest of the game was 24-9 Bama.
I'm not in for making excuses because A&M beat us, but i knew (as well as many others) that after the LSU game that A&M was going to be an even bigger task. Anyone who has ever played in this type game knows exactly what I mean by emotional drained after a huge win.
I do agree...but we did figure out how to attack Manziel mid 2nd quarter. And you are right, speed kills against Manziel, thats why Adrian Hubbard played at the DE spot for most the rest of the game (after the 1st quarter)
Teach them boys something MIT, they think they are all mighty now
The reason A&M won is nobody in the SEC has seen that many Great offense's like the teams in the Big 12. The SEC relies only on D to win their game, and conversely the Big 12 relies on O to win their's.
It's all a part of playing in the the $EC. Yeah, Ole Miss is pathetic, but the SEC is SOOOOOO hard. Everybody plays defense (except Ole Miss, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, Mizzou, and Auburn), and EVERY week you play a quality opponent (except when you play Ole Miss, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina w/o Lattimore, Mizzou, or Auburn).
Don't criticize dude. It's the SEC we're talking about. SO tough. I mean, Ole Miss almost beat LSU for their 3rd or 4th win of the season! Do you know how hard it is to almost win a game?
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
What's the difference between Kansas and Ole Miss? Both have been nationally irrelevant for decades, and both are piss poor football programs.
C'mon Scoot, you're my boy but we deserve some props as a team, especially with all of the haters before the season.
