Dooley isn't coaching at Tennessee anymore, but Tennessee's WR will not be developed enough that early in the season to win on the road at Oregon or Florida. This won't be a blow out tho. There's no excuse for a team that has what Tennessee does in the trenches this year to get blown out....
I agree. Speed of the Ducks will prove to be too much to handle late in the game.....
Pretty sure it's happening at the same time as A&M/Bama so I'm not sure anybody will be watching anyways
Butch Jones is a no huddle hurry up type of coach. That is his philosophy and one that he is going to instill at Tennessee. If he sticks to his philosophy, then Oregon with straight up hurt UTk's feelings. Would not be the least bit surprised if the Ducks have close to a 50 spot thrown up by halftime. This could be very demoralizing for the Vols further efforts.
Now if Butch realizes that is team is pretty much overmatched, and he plays to simply keep it close. Using all the play clock and focus on running the ball, he could keep the scoreline somewhat respectable, 20 points or so.
It really depends on whether Butch Jones wants to have his team play to his identity or, simply play to keep it close. Not an easy decision.
Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
As unheard of as Butch Jones is to me, I didn't even know what kind of offense he runs.
That could be ugly.
Tennessee won't win this game. Going back to a 4-3 will help our defense tremendously though so Oregon won't score what a lot of you are predicting. They won't get a lot up the middle but I expect Mariota to be effective through the air. Oregon will also be effective off tackle with their speed.
Call me crazy, but with Chip Kelly gone I think the offense takes a small step back.
Also I think Tennessee's offensive line will dominate and control the clock.
Still think Oregon's offense will score in the mid to upper 30's.
I say Oregon 38 - Tennessee 24
Also I think Tennessee's offensive line will dominate and control the clock. It will be a competitive game until mid 3rd quarter. Then Oregons experience and depth kicks in at home.
Yeah he alone should keep DAT from running inside their tackles, Auburn & LSU were able to and y'all's D should be much better this yr

No idea on the final but the game will be over at halftime.
If Tennessee scored 2 pts for every first down they got and 2 pts for every punt they forced, they still lose by 3 TDS
