Penn State ranked No. 1 for aerospace hires
Monday, September 12, 2011
Penn State was ranked the top engineering school for aerospace and defense company recruitment in the 2011 Aviation Week Workforce Study.
In the study, Aviation Week polled aerospace and defense companies to find out from which institutions they hire the most graduates. The respondents ranked the universities based on the school’s reputation, degree programs offered, location and diversity.
George Lesieutre, professor and head of aerospace engineering, attributed the ranking to Penn State’s reputation as a leader in engineering education. He said companies look to hire Penn State aerospace graduates because "our alums have already been successful within these organizations; we have bright students who are willing to work very hard; and we provide an educational experience that goes beyond book-learning to provide industrial context and professional skills."
Penn State was ranked first among a list of universities including Georgia Institute of Technology, California Polytechnic-San Luis Obispo, Purdue University, Virginia Tech and the University of California Los Angeles.
A new addition to this year's study asked aerospace and defense companies to rank the top schools for business and finance recruits. Penn State was ranked second.

Go eff yourself
Stop already....what is the point?
Not guilty y'all got to feel me
I thought they made it clear not to continue this here?
I'll give you one thing Jive, you're more persistent on this than jopa and the others in charge were when it came to protecting children from being sexually assaulted by a monster.
Haha I love how mad these threads get you
Today we are going to look at victim #2. This victim was the one that McQueary walked in on while getting butt pounded. He decided the proper action was to slam a locker so Sandusky would feel uncomfortable while butt raping a child. Then rather than beating the ish out of Sandusky, or calling the police he called his dad. He then decided that it'd be best to just wait a day and talk to Joe Pa. Joe Pa thought, man I don't want to ruin anybody elses weekend so we'll just wait till monday and cover it up then. And that is what PSU did. But they have a nice library!
Because I didn't break any of the board guidelines. The closest rule that I broke was "spam" but I effectively eliminated that with a singular thread for the series. Also, others in the thread (not PSU fans) expressed support, so this is a topic of interest.
The only thing that shut down the thread was the few of you who insulted me and other PSU people. IMO, that should lead to your posts being deleted, not the thread locked down.
Unless I am given a real reason for why I cannot do this, I will continue the series. As long as all the rules are followed, it should be allowed.
And thank you for making the OP's point, Sandusky is a maggot and McQueary is spineless, but that does not diminish the institiution that has been vilified for the shortcomings of a handful of idiots.
In before a PSU fan comes in and states that the coward never actually saw the child getting anally penetrated by sandusky. The tickle monster was just tickling the kid, while both were naked, in the shower, alone. Pure innocence, no proof sandusky inserted his penis into a child, in the shower, that night.
It wasn't clear to you when the mod locked your thread and if anybody had interest in PSU they could visit their website?
What guideline was broken?
This statement from a mod wasn't clear?
"If anyone wants to read about Penn States philanthropy they can go to the PSU board or Penn States website."
I thought he made it clear that if you had an issue to PM him, not continue spamming tBB.
I have no clue. What guideline did my thread break the day before? Doesn't matter, mods told you to keep this ish off tbb.
I'm just going to leave thi here
Jerry Sandusky was involved in a tri-state child porn ring and helped a now deceased youth football school coach arrange to have sex with a child prostitute, according to a newly released email. Sandusky is expected to spend the rest of his life in jail after being convicted of 45 counts of sex abuse.
Jive, anyone with a brain realizes that not everyone at PSU is a child rapist. Everyone knows Penn State has done good things over the years. I dont know why you are doing this...just seems very petty and quite callus considering the people responsible for these actions havent even been sentenced yet. Just lay low for a while
The don't be a tone-deaf weirdo and annoy normal people with your problems guideline? That exists everywhere?
This thread serves same purpose as the name the accomplishments of Nazis thread
Petty and callus how? Where am I defending anything related to Sandusky? I am merely showing PSU's accomplishments. It's amazing that the same half-dozen people whine about this while everyone else couldn't care less.
If I would post all the things PSU has done for children, would you feel better? It's not the purpose of this thread, but you act like the only thing we can talk about now is that. It's silly.
Your thread went against rules 10 and 11,,,
"10. No "trolling" and/or being a disruptive force on the boards
11. No posting threads of a highly sexual nature. "
My thread broke none.
I just dont understand the point. You ever heard of the phrase "Too soon"? Just seems very strange to brag about your university at this point in time. No one else ever makes threads bragging about off the field accomplishments. In fact discussion regarding the situation at PSU had died down for the most part. Threads like this only serve to rile people up. Why dont you just post this type of thing on your homeboard?
If you were simply posting about your game against Temple or things related to football I wouldnt take issue. This just seems out of left field.
Why didn't you pump up PSU before it was found out children were harmed because of the leaders lack of action?
Why should it matter what the point is? Penn State is worth boasting about. It's as simple as that.
You are obsessed
Who said I didn't?
No its really not.
