Can you give an example of a small business (less than 50 employees) that would qualify for a tax credit?
No, I've read his nonsense for a long time now. I can say with 100% certainty he's not smart. At all. On anything. Ever. Not once.
So, have you read any part of the ACA?
Don't forget the part where it would be cheaper for large companies to pay the penalty rather than provide insurance. 2000+ whatever tax credit doesn't add up to what most pay per employee.
Oh, you are talking about a tax credit that might be available in 2014. It may be available to a minimal number of small businesses or it may not.
As of NOW, the overwhelming majority of small businesses will never see a tax credit. In fact, the overwhelming majority of small businesses with choose the government option for their employees because it will be cheaper than the alternative.
To qualify this statement, I am talking about small businesses with less than 50 employees who currently provide healthcare insurance.
Maybe it's because their pizza sucks and people finally figured it out.
Not really, but if we elect congress to do a job shouldn't they. Its their job. Why pass a bill you haven't read. Of course I'm SURE you read the whole bill & completely agree with it 100%. If not please tell me what part of the 2000 page bill you disagree with. I mean since you read the entire bill.
You should talk to an accountant who has small business clients.
Here is an excerpt from the current tax law... "Employers that have less than 25 employees and MUST pay at least 50% of the employees health insurance premiums.
You are not allowed to included premiums of the owners or employees who are relatives of the owners in this credit.
The average wage for the employees that do qualify, must be less than $25,000 per year to get full 35% tax credit and you lose entire credit if average wages are greater than $50,000 per year."
If you think this favors small business, than good luck with that.
Or maybe republicans are just butthurt because they lost another election.
I wish I was
You think we wouldn't be talking about how terrible Obamacare is if Mitt had been elected?
You'd be talking about repealing it. Tat's not going to happen now, so you'd better do your part and order some crappy pizzas.
Link that says less than 25k is wrong
Didn't read the entire thread to see if it was brought up, but Obamacare doesn't take place til next year, so these layoffs have nothing to do with that. Probably has more to do with the $250 million lawsuit Papa John's just loss.
If you aspire to be a career pizza delivery boy then you have bigger problems than healthcare benefits.
Lets be real. If this particular company wanted to maximize profits like that, wouldn't they already have cut out employee health costs? Only difference now is the penalty for doing so.
You guys are so intent on making ish up that any real criticism of the law gets drowned out.
1. I don't like Obama.
2. I don't like Obamacare.
3. I thought it would be terrible for our economy.
4. It's disgusting that so many of you are taking JOY into the fact that it is terrible for our economy. Really weird. It's as if being right is better than what is best. Losers.

Welcome to team-sport politics, where your side winning is better than the country healing! 4 years of obstructionism in Obama's first term, and no sign of it slowing up anytime soon!
Lots of good arguments and facts to support the arguments in this post.
Thanks for your contribution
So, you are somehow including the first 2 years of his term into that statement?
Wow 12 pages about some crappy pizza....
Y'all must really love pizza
