Oh, a biologist. I had you pegged completely wrong, did not realize I was conversing with someone with the expertise that you possess.
So you guys are ok with the fact that your players are cheating??
This is Sports Illustrated not Deadspin boys...
Total disgrace to fair competition -
Yeah - with a specialty in Human Anatomy and Physiology....
Your players were taking PED's - fact
Did you attend ND?
Also curious what chemistrys you were required to take.
Sure beats getting housed with 20 million people watching.
I Ain't got no Worries - Lebron James
I'm still a firm believer that if Teo doesn't get hoaxed, ND wins by 21
But weren't LSU players taking the stuff and they were housed last year? Of course, not nearly as many were watching since ND was not involved.
Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
IGF-1 is GH. Same results just taking out the middle man (liver).
I'm just gonna leave this here:
"According to the Baltimore Sun, the deer-antler spray Ray Lewis allegedly obtained from sports science company S.W.A.T.S. is unlikely to have contained a banned substance.
Lewis is accused of using a spray that contains banned substance IGF-1, but a doctor who studies growth hormone deficiency for Johns Hopkins University says that's not possible. "It’s just simply not possible for (IGF-1) to come from a spray," Dr. Roberto Salvatori said. "If (it) were, a lot of people would be happy that they don’t need to get shots anymore." The story will likely continue to be propped up as a distraction ahead of Sunday's Super Bowl, but it's a non-issue for the soon-to-be retired Lewis."
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
Sublingual and buccal medications are administered by placing them in the mouth, either under the tongue (sublingual) or between the gum and the cheek (buccal). The medications dissolve rapidly and are absorbed through the mucous membranes of the mouth, where they enter into the bloodstream. The medications are compounded in the form of small, quick-dissolving tablets, sprays, lozenges, or liquid suspensions.
Not sure why the doc thinks IGF cannot be effective entering the bloodstream sublingual. Possibly it does not enter the bloodstream in a high enough dose?
Could be possible, but research on the efficacy of rGH is mixed, mostly dependent on individual endocrine systems. Same can probably be said for IGF-1.
Regardless, people would still take the shot because of the other effects of GH use (skin treatment, wellness, etc) that IGF-1 doesn't provide. Saying people wouldn't get shots anymore is false.
HGH and IGF can't be taken that way. if you were to try to take HGH or IGF in your mouth...you would need exponentially more of the dose to even be noticeable. some places ive read said its not even possible the amount needed to gain anything through the mouth.
Many "oral HGH" products advertise their HGH levels in nanograms. Keep in mind that the average daily injectable dose of HGH (one unit) is 333,333 nanograms, whereas the advertised amount of HGH in "oral HGH sprays" is 600 to 2000 nanograms per day. Also, without refrigeration, more than 90 percent of the HGH in an ordinary liquid solution is lost every 24 hours.
The technology for getting a molecule as large as HGH to be absorbed through the membranes of the mouth or nose is a technology potentially worth billions of dollars. No company that develops such an advanced technology is going to use it on an over-the-counter product.
Thats pretty amazing because physicians administer Nitroglycerine spray/tabs sublingually for patients with Angina because it gets in the blood stream immediately....
Doc got his degree from Phoenix...
Cheat, Cheat, Cheat
Uh you are an idiot. Here's the "doc's" history:
Dr. Roberto Salvatori graduated summa cum laude with honors from Catholic University School of Medicine in Rome, Italy. He trained in Internal Medicine at the Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein University in the Bronx, NY and completed fellowships in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Cornell University in New York and at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 1998 and is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine.
One of the founders of the Johns Hopkins Pituitary Tumor Center, Dr. Salvatori focuses his clinical practice on the diagnosis and treatment of pituitary and adrenal tumors and pituitary dysfunction, with a particular interest in growth hormone excess (acromegaly) and deficiency, and on cortisol excess (Cushing) and deficiency (adrenal insufficiency).
Dr. Salvatori also runs a research laboratory, which has produced important new information about the genetic causes of isolated growth hormone deficiency, and where new animal models are used to discover new therapies for growth hormone deficiency.
A little antler spray for the OL>soft, gay middle linebacker
I'm the idiot.....
The players were not spraying HGH or IGF-1 - They were spraying a host hormone (Deer) under their tongue that stimulated the over production of HGH and IGF-1 in the human body.
When you take deer antler via a pill or spray, your IGF-1 (that naturally is present in your body) level will naturally increase beyond normal production. IGF-1 increases the rate at which your muscle cells divide, known as muscle fiber hyperplasia....... This all means - IGF-1 helps to increase the overall number of muscle fibers you have. BIGGER< FASTER, STRONGER......Likewise, IGF-1 helps each individual muscle cell get larger, so your muscles will grow in size. Combined, these two mechanisms help increase your muscle mass and strength.Deer antler velvet can also help your body's circulation system. This allows more vital nutrients to enter your muscle cells, which have many tiny tears after a strength workout. By allowing more nutrients to reach your torn muscle cells, your muscles can actually heal and grow much faster. The end result is that your recovery time is reduced and your endurance in increased, even after strenuous activity. Finally, deer velvet has been shown to have positive effects on the body's metabolism. Our metabolism is a series of chemical reactions that are affected by hundreds of different factors. Studies have found that IGF-1 and deer velvet together can effectively boost the body's metabolism to a higher rate. This results in a reduction of body fat mass, but does not reduce your muscle mass. Look at Lacy - Huge and Ripped
You posted an article in an attempt to say "oohhh snake oil" you cannot even absorb this spray under the tongue - here is the paper - which does not even address deer spray...
Manti gay = mystery
Julio Jones gay = Anal Revolving Door
Yeah buddy, you are smarter than the dude at Johns Hopkins.
Additionally, there are many ways to overstimulate the production IGF in the body. Creatine, high levels of dairy products, whey, etc. all increase IGF levels. Increasing IGF levels isn't the concern at hand. Taking IGF or HGH is. And the oral sprays fail to do this as known by many doctors in the field. So, you keep on fighting the good fight and showing how smart you are. That old dumb doctor at Johns Hopkins just got lucky on his exams and made his way to the top, that's all.

What a sad shell ND has become.
You sad little man. 42-14
Yall notice This happens everytime we process a team. Hey! Y'all Cheatin! Or that's not fair cause our star player found out he was dating a man!
Dude our School has known about this clown for years way before SI ever thought about it. If anything does happens it be Alabama trying to sue the hell out of this guy because he want leave us alone. Players were told to stay away from him years ago. This was all told to us in a statement today from our school.Weve had our eye on this guy for awhile. Alabama under Nick Saban keeps it sh!t straight. Now i cant talk for auburn or LSU who has admitted to using it who have players on video admitting to using it. SI just put us in their to get recognition to their story. Anything bama and people pay attention. Havent you heard bro we are the best College football team ever.
