Talking about gun control. Why do we keep allowing people to have these dogs when they kill dozens of people and children a year.I make residential calls with my job and i have not come across a single pit bull that did not want to tear my soul from my body.
Adults Home When Dogs Killed Toddler
We need more restrictions on dog control for sure. What the hell is the American Kennel Club doing?
Family should have been put down with the dogs.
When 4 generations of people live in one shack in the hills of Georgia I doubt proper animal training is discussed at 'supper'. There is nothing inherently wrong with any kind of dog if raised properly.

This. It's all how you raise and treat your dog.
Tell that to this dog.
Then why are pitbulls always at the top when it comes to dog attacks?
It's the idiots that own the dogs. Not fit for dogs and don't know how to train the dogs. Pitbulls are a really nice breed if the right people own them
I don't even know why you would want a pitbull unless you plan on fighting it. They are ugly as fvck.
Go make another shitty commercial Sarah McLachlan
I have to turn the channel when that comes on. My eyes start getting wet.
How do you plan to bring liberalism to this thread?
I am a pit bull owner and he has been the best/nicest/loyal dog I've ever had. He loves people and has never shown aggression outside of normal barking yard protection. On the same token I am not naive enough to chance leaving him alone with kids or other animals when I am not around. Too much damage is caused by a pit than by a dog of another breed and all it takes is one time.
My girls mini pincher has attacked/bitten more people I can count but it's 'punt' sized and cute, if it was 80lbs of muscle and had one inch k9's like my pit it would be another deadly attack story. Unfortunate, but it is what it is.
I can agree that pit/dangerous breed ownership should be futher scrutinized because there are some people that souldn't be left that responsibilty but its a slippery slope.
Probably wouldn't even be in the top 25 for 'attacks' by breed, just so happens they're the only dog breed that has lockable jaws and are actually strong enough to hurt people. Same thing with great whites in the grand scheme of shark attacks.
Dogs should be able to get married.
PETA does a pretty good job of it.
That's your lover, CMXI
My old roommate got a 8 week old pitbull and I lived with it for 2yrs and he was the biggest baby I've ever seen. My friend now has a 3yr old and a 2 week old baby and they're alone with the dog all the time.
I'm not slipping Freud anything son
I hate trash owning dangerous dogs like pittbulls but it isn't a huge deal. (don't even argue that they have been bred for way and fighting over the centuries)
Drunk driving and guns are much bigger issues.
How many people are killed a year by this vicious brutal animal? 10-20 people a YEAR. That's right, TEN to TWENTY.
"About 40 people (children) per year die by drowning in 5-gallon water pails. A person, during their lifetime, is 16 times more likely to drown in a 5-gallon water pail than to be killed by a Pit Bull.
Approximately 50 children in the US are killed every year by their cribs - 25 times the number of children and adults killed by Pit Bulls.
Approximately 150 people are killed every year by falling coconuts. Therefore, you are more than 60 TIMES MORE LIKELY to be killed by a PALM TREE than a Pit Bull.
Each year, 350 people drown in their bathtubs. You are 151 times more likely to be killed by your bathtub than you are by a Pit Bull.
Every year, more than 2,000 children in the U.S. are killed by their parents or guardians either through abuse or neglect. A child is more than 800 times more likely to be killed by their caretaker than by a Pit Bull."
Also lol at people saying pittbulls are the same as other dogs. Over centuries they have been selectively bred to kill and fight, They make good guard dogs but I would get a retriever when I have kids, hell even a German Shepard is a safer choice.
id hate to get killed by a coconut. What a sucky way to go out.
Yup. Here is my golden. She turned 1 today. She's a sweetie.
a pack of german shepherds that are well fed and cared for like the yahoo article says about the pit bulls would never attack like that especially a child they already knew like described in the yahoo article.
