And its all a bout money as expected...Highest bidding city gets to host NC
Walking up these hills you have no choice but to be fast!
Jerry's World will win every year.
Indianapolis will get one.
I hope not. I hate seeing it on that turf
I think Orlando gets one even though the bowl sucks...
Hope New Orleans gets a few
A freaking committee?? Are you kidding me
This is a win for Big 12 and SEC.
Complete fail by all involved. Does anyone actually think the committee will pick 4 teams that differ from the top 4 in the polls?
There is no way to form a committee that doesn't have bias and isn't influenced by the polls.
Decided by a committee, this is awful, their needs to be set criteria for those teams who are selected. This is nothing but fail.
shocker. and people thought the BCS sucked? this is going to be a lot worse
FSU Ambassador to the masses
I can't disagree more. They're not going to send in Mark May, Lou Holtz and Jerry D'Nardo. From what I understand it's going to be like a jury. It's going to be a collective agreement on all 4 teams. If there are 5 or 6 teams that have a argument to be in, each team will be reviewed equally.
I'm open minded so I'd like to hear why this is bad?
Its going to suck but at least its going to suck with more likely to give a chance to teams that deserve a chance. Last year OSU should have had a chance.
How so? I have not heard enough as to who "won".
SEC and Big 12 wanted a committee all along. ACC and Big 10 wanted conference champs, and i dont recall the PAC 12 stance.
I hate the semifinals setup, but Big Ten fans don't really have a right to complain seeing as our idiotic leaders opted to go with the BCS bowl setup even though the closest bowl is over 1000 miles away. We could have had home playoff games.
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
No question a committee is a disaster. I hope they figure that out before this gets finalized. They should just go by the AP Poll. We more or less let the AP Poll pick the NC from 1936-1997, so why not just use it to pick the top four? The Coaches Poll is biased and the computers are awful. And both are subject to tampering.

If that's the case, I think the AP poll should be used, but just make sure Scott Wolf's ballot is thrown out.
What sanctions? Our 75 are better than your 85.
What they really should do is expand the AP vote, but throw out something like the 10 highest and lowest rankings for each team or randomly select say 80 of the 100 votes each week for the rankings.
This should limit region bias and the impact of voters that vote to create a stir.
First they need to state, all major conferences need a championship game and then make a set criteria that makes you eligible. one being if you lose your conference championship game you are Ineligible for the playoff, making those games playoff games more or less
