Intellivison baseball was awesome too. Also 1982.
WWF Wrestlefest. Another one of my favorites. Pumped many quarters into this one trying to beat the Road Warriors.
Centipede and Galaga. Those were my two favs when I was a kid.
You see that sign that says 'Rib Tips'??
I'd have to say Metroid from Nintendo was pretty sweet, too.

Mortal Kombat was my crack cocaine! I don't know how many hours and quarters I spent playing that game.
I am a Buckeye...proof there is a God in Heaven who loves me.
Who was your go to character? I always played with Scorpion. "Get over here!"
I have always been a Sub Zero guy.
That ice ball was definitely something.
I was sub zero and Katana. Mainly Katana though.
wasn't dragon's lair a premium game? maybe 3 quarters when every other game was one quarter. i was too cheap to learn that game, but it was cutting edge when it came out

That one & WWF Super Stars. It was the same game only you fought The Million Dollar Man & Andre The Giant at the end. Both were the tits! I kept the arcade by my house in business, I dropped massive quarters at that place. I have a ton of favorites.
That Aerosmith Shooter
Terminator 2 shooter
Street Fighter 2
Every Mortal Kombat (They just got better throughout the 90's)
House Of The Dead
A shit ton of others I can't remember.
It's a personal dream & goal of mine to have all these arcade games in my home someday.
Fun as hell. The SNES port was awesome too.
Anybody remember Maniac Mansion?
Space Ace, Pitfall, Double Dragon, QBert. I mean come on meh'!!!
Yup Dragons Lair and Space Ace were similar. It was all about tapping the joystick certain ways. Btw NBA Jam took alot of money from me as well. Contra was another one.
Pac Man was good. but Mrs. Pac Man was truly great
Anyone remember Afterburner with the cockpit that moved? That game was awesome. I actually played on that had a full 360 degree cockpit that would go upside down in Canada.
Ninja Turtles II
The Adventures of Bayou Billy
Loved all of these!
Not sure who I saw post "maniac mansion" but I remember it and probably would've never thought of it again. I love these threads!

Yup! Awesome game. Kind of pissed though, that we didn't get the one that went upside down.
The upside down one was awesome, but IIRC, it was like $3.00 to play, and they had to pay some guy to strap you in and make sure you weren't doing anything crazy (like trying to play without the belts snapped). At 12 though, it was the coolest thing ever.
I loved this game and sucked at it. I too only got a thru several scenes. i'm not sure how far i got, i don't remember.,
my favorite of all time is Galaga - the fast version.
usually you can find the Ms Pacman fast version there too - it's my second favorite.
There's a new bar near me with 20+ arcade games at any given time. I'm pretty excited to try it out. It's also apparently a whiskey bar ... what better way to start a fight than with whiskey and arcade games.
My two favorite arcade games were both from the mid-90s, those were Area-51 and The Simpsons. The Simpsons game was pretty stupid, but I just have a lot of fond memories growing up with it. Also big fan of Mortal Kombat.
Time and change will surely (truly) show
