It aint like i said ud be the Miss State or Ole Miss of the SEC...Id say ud be the best Offense in the SEC, but not scoring the numbers you would in the pac-12
btw many people said Alabama and LSU defense in 2011 could have been an NFL defense
Nobody outside of extreme hyperbole.
Do you actually believe that? Those defenses would get absolutely shredded in the NFL.
Thats wat i meant a BAD NFL defense, but USC would be a BAD NFL Offense.
But there were numerous former NFL players who said they could see Alabama and LSUs dfence as NFL caliber
I never said it did.
Just because a team is great it doesn't mean teams they should beat easily suck either.
I never said they would be close to an NFL offense. USC's offense would never score in the NFL.
I can't believe you actually believe that. I'm done arguing after that gem. Carry on.
Wow, I get chastised for promoting JerryWorld in Sept. and this comical spoof is left to stand?
Who are you imitating: Moses coming off the mountain?
Oregon can put up more points and yards vs average defenses than USC can, but a truly elite defense can shut Oregon down.
USC is much more dangerous vs a truly elite defense.
Pretty sure this is what you were saying.
Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
Of all the true contenders, USC plays the toughest schedule, and that's the truth. Check out my breakdown on a pre-season SOS.
Exactly what I was saying. I do think I said that in an earlier post as well.
I DIDNT SAY THEY WERE AN NFL DEFENSE IM GOING OFF OTHER FORMER NFL PLAYERS!! ...thank you
-USC and Oregon both have a viable shot at reaching the NCG out of the P12.
-Oklahoma ? although in the B12 , their running game & defense needs to show major improvement as both vanished in 2011 .
-WVU could easily be this years version of the 2011 Cowpokes, which means nothing at all really.
-Georgia will always have talent but there isnt a chance in hell they make a serious NC run. w/ a soft slate they could possibly
squeak into the final Top10 w/ a BBowl win.
-Michigan has a huge stage to make a case for themselves in week one . Vegas doesnt believe .
-LSU / Bama winner could find themselves in the drivers seat .
and while they were a determined bunch they got pushed around by LSU in 2011.
did i mention they were shut down by the worst NC winning D in ten tears in 2010 ?
Before I look at anyone else's lists:
5. Florida St
9. South Carolina
11. West Virginia
15. Oklahoma St
16. Michigan St
18. Ohio St
23. Virginia Tech
24. Notre Dame
Like always, I'm sure I missed someone obvious.
Figure I'd try trolling. How was my first one?
Aside from Texas & Michigan State, yours is the most realistic.
Texas should be about 20 and MSU should be about 12, imo.
I think Texas will probably be a 10-2 team with only losses to OU and either West Virginia or OSU. If they can put that record on the table, plus go 6-0 after RedRiver, they'll be a top-10 team.
I think MSU will take a small step back this year. Replacing Cousins will be a tough task, not only on the field but off. There was no better leader in college football last year than Cousins. (Also, I generally like to rate MSU a little lower than most because I simply dislike Mark Dantonio.)
Edit: Looking at the schedules, I think the team in my top-25 that might really under-perform where I have them ranked is Baylor. I think there's a really good chance that they are a deeper, more well-balanced team this year but they still have a worse record. Losing they dynamic players they lost, coupled with a tough schedule could lead to a tough year. That said, I do think their program as a whole is getting the point where they should be able to be a top-40 team regularly, which is a huge improvement from where they were before Art Briles arrived in Waco.

Clemson has zero OL and DL.
Based on who I think the best teams are, not necessarily how it will shake out.
3. So Cal
7. South Carolina
Not even close. UF will win 7, maybe 8 games.
Lol, they scored one td in garbage time with 1 minute left against or 2nd and 3rd string.. Not 1 starter was on the field the final minute
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Did I mention that Oregon shut down Auburns offense compared to the rest of the SEC. They held them to less points than Alabama and LSU and substantially less than UGA and South Carolina.
So, serious question.
Why is everyone putting Michigan in the Top 10. Please explain.
Well said. People always tend to forget that Oregon shut down Auburns offense as well.
