-@ Central Michigan (You guys actually go play at a tiny school like that?)
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
I predict their schedule will look like this:
-@ Central Michigan
+1 for literal interpretation.
8-4, losses to Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and either Nebraska or Notre Dame. If Maxwell proves to be a good QB they could easily go 10-2.
This is Michigan, fergodsakes.
Nice, you got me on that one.
-Boise State- WIN- home night game
-@ Central Michigan -WIN.. yea, think it's cool they are playing up there- CMU calling it the biggest game in their history at their stadium.. doesn't happen that often, but it's only 1hr North of MSU
-Notre Dame- WIN- home night game
-Eastern Michigan- WIN
-Ohio State- WIN- only because it's still September- if this game was in November, I'd mark it as Loss
-@ Indiana- WIN
-@ Michigan- WIN- Denard hasn't shown me he can solve MSU's defense
-@ Wisconsin- LOSS
- Nebraska- LOSS- they owned MSU LY- just real scared of this one
-@ Minnesota - WIN
So 10-2, 6-2 which should be good enough for Legends Division
Tons of tossups (Boise, ND, OSU, UM, Neb)- if Maxwell stinks, MSU could go 8-4 or 7-5 if we're calling worst case, if Maxwell doesn't miss a beat and the OL is rock solid, 11-1 isn't out of the question, but most likely 9 wins, though I think 10 is more likely than 8
Michigan State has a tough arse schedule
It was worse LY.. @ND, @OSU, @Neb + Wisky, UM
Boise State - L
@ Central Michigan - W
Notre Dame - W
Eastern Michigan - W
Ohio State - L
@ Indiana - W
Iowa - W
@ Michigan - L
@ Wisconsin - L
Nebraska - L
Northwestern - W
@ Minnesota - W
MSU Record: 7-5

opposite of homer alert
I'm watching the last minute drive from last years bowl game and Kirk Cousins was spectacular. He put passes on a dime. He was also the winningest QB in MSU history. I don't know how in the world Maxwell doesn't skip at least a couple beats.

The problem with this thread is it's drawing posters with extreme opinions and it is lacking objectivity so far, let me take a crack at it:
Boise State - W
-@ Central Michigan - W
-Notre Dame - W
-Eastern Michigan - W
-Ohio State - W
-@ Indiana - W
-Iowa - W
-@ Michigan - W
-@ Wisconsin - W
- Nebraska - W
--Bye Week-- - W
-Northwestern - W
-@ Minnesota - W
Conference Championship Game - W
BCS Championship game vs. Bama - W
There you have it 14-0 thank you very much.

That was a very solid drive by Cousins.. that was basically his only solid drive the entire game and almost cost MSU the W in OT with his INT..
He also started 3 years and MSU's history wasn't that spectacular to begin with..and while his leadership will surely be missed- he also didn't really "win" MSU any games (sans Wisconsin- always had their #)- played like piss vs ND, Neb, was less than impressive vs OSU, UM, UGA...
If I'm ever going to feel comfortable with a new QB, it'll be a 4th year RS JR Elite 11 finalist at the helm
How will he perform? Who knows.. we'll find out soon enough

BSU - This is the first game for both teams and Petersen has proven repeatedly that if you give him plenty of time to prepare he's tough to beat. Oregon. VaTech. UGA. They do it every year and I don't see this game being any different.
ND - Both teams have new QBs and lost their best WRs, but MSU will have a much better defense. And the game is in EL. It won't be pretty, but I think Sparty wins a close one.
I disagree. No one heard of Kellen Moore until his first year. And MSU lost a ton on offense themselves. Petersen is a much better (and more creative) offensive coach than Dantonio and he had nothing to do all offseason but scheme to beat MSU's defense. And BSU rarely makes mistakes. Don't bet against them.
They weren't replacing 15 starters when he started out either.
Go look at Boise's record the 5 years before Kellen Moore, then get back ITT

Go look at MSU's record the five years before Kirk Cousins.
-Boise State W
-@ Central Michigan W
-Notre Dame W
-Eastern Michigan W
-Ohio State L
-@ Indiana W

-@ Minnesota W
Ok? We were clearly talking about Boise and how good you said they were and are going to be.. Why Boise would win without Kellen Moore and all of that stuff you were saying.
What does that have to do with MSU before Cousins?
Anyways, never mind. Don't feel like explaining to you what you said or what we were talking about.
A man's got to know his limitations.
I predict 9-3
Losses to OSU, Michigan, and Wisky.
True true brotha
This. I don't agree with the majority of Michigan posters that say that MSU is just going to go away because we're out recruiting them. I think we beat them this year, but it's going to be a battle as long as Dantonio is there. Hell he is doing a better job with MSU than Saban did. We may not want to admit it, but Dantonio is a helluva coach, plain and simple.
Boise St-W... CMU-W...ND-L....EMU-W...OSU-L....IU-W....Iowa-W.....UM-W....Wisconsin-L....Nebraska-W.....N'western-W.....Minn-W... 9-3 another solid season for Dantonio..
Love all the ummers in an MSU thread..
11-1, loss @UW, but we get them back in the B1G CCG, on to the Rose Bowl
