How am I wrong? How can you definitively say the passing game will be weak when you haven't even seen it yet? Plus, Maxwell will have started 7 games before October 20th, so it's not like you can say he will not have thrown a meaningful pass.
Beyond that, I just don't get why anybody thinks we're going to need Joe Montana in order to win games. As long as Maxwell isn't throwing picks all over the place, we're going to be fine.

"RCMB: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainry." - some dude from MgoBlog
This is a prediction thread, therefore, you are supposed to predict what will happen. Most people, myself included, predict that MSU's passing game will be a weakness because MSU loses most of it's passing offense. That is why most people predict MSU to lose to Michigan.
And I'm wondering, why do you think that MSU should be favored over Michigan? How can you say definitively that Michigan has any weaknesses when you haven't seen them yet?
This is Michigan, fergodsakes.
Though to be fair, I think MSU showed last year they don't have to throw it particularly well and still beat UM
KC was 13/24 for 120 yards in 2011 vs UM.. not going to get much worse than that in terms of throwing the football
To be fair we have seen your QB play a time or two
Interesting reading, post facto.
-Boise State WIN
-@ Central Michigan (You guys actually go play at a tiny school like that?) WIN
-Notre Dame LOSS
-Eastern Michigan WIN
-Ohio State LOSS
-@ Indiana WIN
-@ Michigan LOSS
-@ Wisconsin WIN
- Nebraska LOSS
-@ Minnesota WIN
Have all Msu fans ran off.
I thought 9-3 (6-2) before the season. If MSU beats UM, I think they end up 8-4 (5-3). If MSU loses to UM, then 6-6 (3-5).
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
So, losing to UM is worth two games? We must be pretty good.
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
At least he was smart enough to predict losses to Wisky and UNL.
I think they lose to Nebraska regardless. If they beat UM, I give them a pretty good shot of playing well enough to beat an up and down Wisconsin team. If they lose to UM, I think they won't be able to regroup until after the bye.
This just proves how delusional state fans are. So many of them had them running away with the B1G & even contending for a national championship. Lol
Oh little brother! Always good for a laugh.
All MSU fans have left this board.
Meh, I come here when the RCMB becomes boring. However, are we saying any team in the big ten is good this year? I'm puzzled by the false brevado of any league school who laid turds in non conference games then looked like crap against each other during league play, but the teams that won more in league are somehow pounding their chest. We've become a basketball conference. Weird but factual. Now with Maryland coming in, we have another brick to our basketball wall
Yea, but in a league of sucky teams, MSU is one of the suckiest. After back to back 11 win seasons and an extraordinary amount of chest thumping from Sparty, you have to expect some ridicule.
I apologize to all my MSU friends for my prediction in this thread. Clearly, my biases led me to an incorrect conclusion ... I was far too optimistic. Sorry for getting y'alls hopes up like that.
Well, a lot of us go out on Saturday nights. Not all of us stay at home on internet message boards waiting for MSU threads to be bumped by some random Nebraska/Michigan fans.
There weren't that many MSU fans on this board to begin with. Most posters see no reason to leave tRCMB, it's the most active board on the network.
"As far as the downvotes. It's a gnat biting an lion"

This just proves how arrogant UM fans are. So many of them are sandwich artists, yet they want to call us little brother because in the real world, they have nothing to say but, "would you like chips with your sandwich"?
Seriously guy, you're staying in on a Saturday night and want to call us out? You're small potatoes. You gave me too much mayo on my last sub. It was disgusting and I had to wipe some of it off. I don't want to be some overweight Michigan schmuck. Go easy on the mayo bottle next time, ham hands.
