We also went 7-6 that year and lost our offensive coordinator. That affects things.
Well, the fact we're still even in it for Jalen (who lives across the country) and others that are EE already, speaks volumes. It may come down to the new DC, but then again...that holds true for the remainder of the defensive commits...yet, a few highly ranked defensive players are on the USC campus right now as new students.
Heavily sanctioned, no defensive coordinator, a 7-6 season and the most hated CFB coach in the country.
The kid has made several visits to Southern California on his own dime (I believe it's 7 visits to USC), including the last trip was his Christmas present.
"Here are provided seats of meditative joy, where shall rise again the destined reign of Troy." Virgil
Do you live in Southern California? I used to go there every summer for years. I'd go there all the time if I could afford it.
The ACC champion and EJ Manuel agrees with Greater Gator.
Yes, my family has been here over a hundred years. I live in a small town, in the green belt...and only 20 minutes from my former little beach town, and an hour from my beloved USC and Los Angeles.
It's beautiful here today, and should be gorgeous this weekend. If you're ever down this way, and curious about Trojan game day, let me know, we'd welcome you with food and drink.
We're really very hospitable in our house, it's too glorious and sunny to be anything else but laid back.
Great stuff! Spent most of my time there in San Clemente or Encinitas. I've been surfing my whole life and during the early summer florida doesn't get much surf so I'd usually fly out there and stay with friends. Weather is always good. LA was always a bit hectic for me but still fun to check out. My sister just moved from Hawaii(Oahu) to San Diego so if I come out there during the fall, I'd be down to see a USC game. That stadium looks nice.
Ah..I grew up during the big surf craze in the 60s, when the rest of the country got to see what we had going since the 1950s. We have a very strong beach subculture centered around surfing and it's way of life - in my walks on the beach, I talk to guys who have been surfing over 50 years; surgeons, salesmen, chefs, mechanics and surf bums . Laird Hamilton and several international surfing greats live in Malibu part time. It's part of who we are.
Thing is, L.A. is a different way of life once you go north past the Conejo Grade...but make no mistake, it's great living just close enough to an exciting city like Los Angeles, and being able to return to my quiet little "small town America" with all it's values.
I'll take you on a tour of campus, and chances are we'll run into actors, musicians, Pro HOFers and enjoy one of the most diverse ethnic cuisines in the country in our tailgates. The campus itself is beautiful (I believe we have over 40 fountains on campus), our stadium may not be, but the history that stadium has seen and made, negates it's lack of beauty. One of the greatest coaches in USC history, requested his ashes be spread over the Coliseum field - John McKay, and his assistant coach, Marv Goux joined him there.
USC fanbase is just like their Football team. "Trainwreck"
I must say, good call OP.
3 time POTW
Yeah wtf Bart?
Oops!! Looks like somebody found the key
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or it may last a year. But eventually, it will subside. If i quit, however it will last forever.
Once again Free Kobe is wrong, but trojan fans will countinue to hang off his nutsack like they did on rivals.
Love these bumps.
Well, at least they've still got Hatcher.
No they don't. Decommited today.
I believe that was sarcasam
A lot of these Trojan fans tend to be wrong about stuff on the threads I've seen. Their Athletic Director was also wrong when he stole Lane Kiffin.
