I didn't include Dukes, but your point stands. So are we just going to subjectively pick which players are elite and which aren't? That doesn't make for a very good argument.
This is Michigan, fergodsakes.
Well aren't all rankings subjective?
Yes, but isn't that what we are basing the argument that Michigan under-recruits skill position players on? Otherwise it would just be quantity.
I don't know wtf yall are still talking about in here. This thread was ranking the coaches in the B1G, and the top analyst on this site weighed in four pages ago. Unless you think you know more about recruiting than JC, I don't know what the discussion is.
Haven't you heard? All Ohio players who are 4 stars are leaps and bounds better than a 4 star at Michigan.
We are college football
To the best I can understand Buckeye fans, I think it basically comes down to "do the recruits Michigan has at WR/RB have an OSU offer"? If they don't, then they are not elite. And even if they do, they may still not be elite (as is the case with Smith).
No, I am using rankings. I am saying a player ranked 35 whos is a 4 star is probably a better prospect than a 4 star ranked 247.
I am just shooting the shit at this point, the initial question was already answered.
Yeah, I had fun for a couple pages but I tired fairly quickly of it
So nobody is allowed to have an opinion that dissents from JC's?
Let me recap this thread
Hoke is the best recruiter in the B1G.
Four pages of people calling the OP an idiot and a homer, he says he's right.
JC comes on and says the Hoke ain't the best recruiter.
Then we move on to OSU can't sign any offensive Lineman.
Cwood down some math(he's a scientist}.
Then the OP gets freaked out about my avatar.
What we are still doing here is beyond me
Is this what the fanbases of the declining blue bloods do? Bitch about meaningless recruiting rankings?
Ever noticed that Bama, USC, LSU, etc fans don't endlessly talk about recruiting, and actually talk about the, you know, football teams?
All I did was disprove the "Michigan can't recruit skill position players" meme from Bucknuts. I don't care about the rest of the thread.
I only count 6 4 stars for UM at RB/FB/WR/TE.
OSU has 8 and we only have 9 players at those positions. The funny think is Micheal Thomas is are only 3 star and all signs point to him being the best player in that group. shows how off the rankings can be.
this is for 2012/13 recruiting cycles.
Is this what wannabe blue bloods do? Complain about other posters discussing recruiting?
I don't care about any of the thread, one of the more retarded I've seen
I used Rivals and counted 7 for OSU and 6 for Michigan. Doesn't seem like a big difference to me.
Go to the "Good news for Auburn, Michigan" thread.
O Lord, if you're dragging me to another retarded troll thread I swear lol
Really declining? UM was and it now looks like they are on their way back up. OSU besides last year has been pretty good.
This time it was one of yours, not ours. But I'm pretty sure I capped it off, the guy can't come up with what he thinks I said.
Nope, not going there...looks like a deja vu of this one in bizzaro world.
Good idea. Trust me, it was way worse than this thread.
He has the #5 class with 16 commits and six months to add. At this point last year, Osu was 25+ spots behind UM.
A better thread would be who had more success recruiting at UM, Rodriguez or Hoke. That is far closer then what UM fans what to admit.
People keep saying that Meyer benefitted from the PSU scandal. We got a couple of great commits from that, think it was 3 players. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong. Hoke benefitted from having a depleted roster. He was able to sell immediate playing time to recruits. OSU's roster was anything but depleted when Meyer came in. OSU was also still facing, yet to be determined, sanctions while the recruiting was going on.
