He hits you - you go down
Not even close! Just at safety I would take Matt Elam over Reid.
I wish the Pac12 would take the handcuffs off of TJ McDonald. He's been destroying WR's since his soph year but since he's been a target for officials to flag/suspend when ever they get the chance. Completely changed the way he is able to play the game. Love the way the SEC lets their DB's actually hit people.

Not even the hardest hitting S on LSU. That goes to Craig Loston. He is the best tackling S in the country though. Loston comes to hit with very bad intentions. Problem is that sometimes he tends to hit his teammates harder than the opponent.
I wish the ACC would not throw a flag every time Lamarcus Joyner kills some poor soul, but the ACC just will not let our players hit you without a flag.
You mean like that one time Joyner hit somebody this season ?
Or like when Rhodes killed that VT FB and no flag was thrown ?
Seriously Duval, shut up about the god damn refs
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
I don't know man - Reid is bigger than most linebackers - gotta think he goes 1st round
Matt Elam and it isn't even a close
Dude the refs have killed a lot of our big plays the last few years, and I am sorry that you are to blind to see it. Like when Joyner hit the Duke player clean, but a flag was thrown. When Bradham hit the miami receiver clean, but a flag was thrown or when Reid hit the Maryland receiver a few years ago resulting in an interception and a flag was thrown. Like I said unless we have refs that are not ACC refs our players cannot get away with big hits.
Harder than LaRon Landry?

Who cares, we won all those games
Bitching about it week after week like you do gets fugging annoying, we get it man, seriously..... you hate the ACC refs
Now STFU about it cause nobody cares
And why are you ignoring Rhodes big hit that was allowed ? oh right, that doesn't matter, only when FSU gets screwed does it matter, especially in 3 games that FSU won
Weird. No one in the league dove harder at the knees or went helmet 2 helmet eight yards out of bounds better than Boyett. And he almost never got flagged.
I agree with the size and 1st round part but that's has more to do with his all around skillset and intelligence than his ability to hit hard. Don't get me wrong Reid hits hard but Loston hits harder. Loston just isn't half the all around S on the field as Reid and that's why Reid is so well liked by NFL people. That said Reid has fallen down a few draft boards this year to this point. We may luck out and have him for another year. Wouldn't bet on it but he's very big on academics and his status may not be as high as he thinks it should be. We could end up losing only Mingo and Monty early off the defense. Minter, Simon(shouldn't go but school isn't his strongsuit), Reid and Bennie Logan are the other possibilities. If we can get at least 3 of them back we'll be okay. Imo Minter would be the biggest loss of the group. He's a beast.
