I certainly wouldn't mind seeing Bama and FSU in the title game next season. I have always somewhat liked FSU. I still think Urban is going to coast OSU to the title game though. The Big 10 is absolute garbage.
They won't go unbeaten two years in a row, that is almost impossible no matter who you are or where you play imo
Not even Bama has gone back to back unbeaten in the BCS era
OSU had a few lucky wins last year, games they shouldn't have won imo
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
I hope you are right but fear that you aren't. Michigan without Denard and Bielema leaving Wisconsin doesn't make me feel all that confident that anyone in that garbage conference has the talent to beat them with another year under Braxton Miller's belt in Urban's offense.
Ummmm our oline has been manhandled several games that we have won. Our quick passing game and our RBs busting one open have been huge for us in the games where our oline stunk it up. Do you think it's a automatic loss if your oline get manhandled? Have you watched our defense play?? Our defense would work the B1G. Games aren't won on the offensive line. Yeah it's a big part but we've managed to win alot of games without our oline being very good. Our starting 5 and our 2 TE set with Hapela and Oleary is gonna be very good for our running game. Our problem is gonna be if one (just one) of our ol goes down with a injury we will be in trouble because we have no depth. Now if 2 of our freshmen that us fsu expect big things out of can step up (Denson and Wilson Bell) then our depth will be better. But asking true freshmen to play is tough. If Denson would've been a EE as expected he may have pushed one of the guard positions and we bump Matias out to RT. with that being said I know football and I know we would win the B1G next year if we were in it even with our shitty oline coach
Im not bashing FSU or the ACC and I'm not disputing whether FSU as a team is good or not. I am also not suggesting or implying that FSUs OL sucks or will suck. I don't, however, think they would cakewalk thru the B1G. My dispute is with your view of the offensive line, of any team, and their importance. You made several statements above, that put before a panel of people who "know" football, would be laughed at with regards to the OL and their importance. Try it like this. FSUs D is good. But, If the DL got manhandled, how many games would you win. Yes, you can sometimes win a game if the OL plays poorly. But trying to win games 6-3 on a regular basis isn't going to be a formula for success, no matter what conference you're in.
