We aren't just committed to college football; we're early enrolling in it.

God we suck at this thing with hardwood flooring, a hoop, and a round orange ball.
Yup, and we were the worst of the worst. You know it's bad when the stands at home games look like a Miami Hurricanes football game.
ITT I am able to post ACC ACC ACC ACC!
At least you guys have Kentucky though. And they did some damage last year.
"I was brought in here to change the culture. I'm going to coach with passion" - Fran McCaffery.
BIG BIG BIG - is this how it works when your team sucks at a sport but the conference is playing well?
Looking at you Ole Miss and Tennessee fans...

I wish ND would go all in to a conference. It would be nice to have insurance through down periods. Would have been nice to yell out a conference the last 15 years & some change.
I'm having a blast on Facebook and Twitter. So many Mizzou friends. So much angst.
Are we notorious for this?
Butch Jones. Who???
Lately, yes. But I am a Butch fan, so I think it will end for you guys (in a few years).
Why a few? (Just like to hear opinions). As with any school and conference, whenever you struggle while other's enjoy success at your expense, I think you get to grasping at the conference to make yourself feel better about the losses. I never cheer for any SEC team other than my own, regardless of my own team's success, but I understand the defense mechanism.
You may have a winning record shortly, but I am talking about you getting back in the top 4 of the SEC. There is still a talent gap that needs to be closed, athough I think that Butch's coaching/system will help.
Every fanbase has people who cheer for their conference and those who do not. In the SEC though, the conference pride thing is just a step above other conferences.
I tend to agree. Not with starting talent, but we don't have depth on the defensive side yet.
The conference pride being higher in the SEC is from the constant boost the media gives them. Every media outlet recognizes the SEC is on a different level, and so do NFL GMs. If the fan bases didn't have their egos constantly stroked, it would be contained. Every region is going to think their style of football is the best, I just respect all levels of college football. If you can play, you can play. Level of play just shines brighter when you are in a conference that is recognized by national media as the best for competition.
Not as bad as Wisconsin, apparently. Big 10 sucks.
