CBS viewership for SEC regular-season football games declined 15 percent in 2012, averaging a 3.4 rating that was the lowest since 2008.
Since late 2010, 17 of the past 30 SEC games on CBS have been decided by at least 21 points.
Yankees not paying their cable bill IMO. Bunch of poors IYAM
When Auburn isn't good the rest suffer. Facts of life.
The commentators are garbage. Just terrible, awful, and old as dirt. Verne Lundquist sucks balls.
BornToBeRed said: WPS, just a head's up. We might be the most family-friendly board on the network, so take it easy on your normal wps-ness.
According to the article it's because of blowouts.
The gap between the top 6 and the rest of the conference is just massive.
Yup. That's gotta be it. The Arkansas-LSU game the day after Thanksgiving usually has good numbers. I doubt as many people watched the game this year due to Arkansas' record. It was a surprisingly close game.
SEC is too top heavy. Need to get them some parity like the B10.
If only everyone in the conference was 7-4 the ratings would have been better.

CBS also dropped the Tenn-UF game, which historically, draws in a good amount of viewers. It had a ton of viewers this year.
Butch Jones. Who???
The worst teams in the conference just need to be more competitive. It's not that they're losing. It's how badly they are losing.
I blame Bobby and his blonde, Mr. Ed looking mistress.
They were pretty down this year. Tennessee and Arky were expected to be better and Auburn was way worse than expected.
Still Ole Miss played some teams close and they way they are recruiting this year they might be getting a lot better. Also the teams that are bringing in new coaches should improve.
I'm telling you it's because Auburn is down... When was the last time Auburn was in the gutter? 2008, which is the last time ratings are this low... Facts is all I bring to this board.
This sentence formulation makes you sound like a Bama fan.
You may be onto something. It is hard to watch Tv with a bag on your head.

sec top is dominant vs their conf sub counterparts, but bigten and pac12 aren't far behind. 3 pt difference and basically flawless records.
The Bama/UGA game tied the SC/ND game as most watched this season.
With the remaining berth in the BCS National Championship Game on the line, the 2012 SEC Championship Game tied a week-old season-high. Saturday's...
Don't be angry that UF doesn't get the love that Auburn gets. When UF is down no one cares except you jort people. When Auburn is down about 15% of all SEC watchers are depressed.
I don't have to worry about it. We are not down very often.
BTW just busting Kite's ball for any lurkers out there.
Ahh come on. We were just starting.
How does this compare historically?
Time and change will surely (truly) show
How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!
True, Auburn ruined the ratings for the Iron Bowl again.
That's about 12% too high.
Well, A&M fans are barners in cowboy boots so maybe that 4% gets depressed too.
