Losing seasons since 2000:
South Carolina 2
Texas A&M 4
Ole Miss 6
Miss State 8
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
I'm really confused as to the purpose of this thread, but hey, atleast we're not last! Hotty Toddy
Thought it was surprising. Especially the Bama turn around.
Yes, just goes to show you what hiring the right coach can do for a program. I'll admit though, after his first year or two I didn't know if he was going to make it or not. Especially after that whole Dolphins fiasco.
Dive for the thrill, shoot for the kill.
Alabama just had our WORST decade of football ever and we still won 3 national titles. Scary to think about how many we will win when we have our best decade.
"Because Bama now sucks just like FSU used to suck when we were getting dominated by OU. Does it make sense now?"- Sliger (FSU Fan)
Lulz y'all are on par with UT and mizzou
You also did not win 3 titles in a decade, dumb ass.

No it just means that even when y'all are up, you're down.
You really shouldn't call anyone a dumb ass. And I know how long a decade is. We are coming off our worst 10-13 year stretch. It just pisses you off that in our worst 10-13 years we accomplished more than AU football did in its entirety. How does it feel knowing that knowing Ole Miss has more football national titles than you? This is going to be a long 10 years for you. Hopefully, you don't take football too seriously or you will put a bullet in that read head of yours.
Our best decade was in the 10's.
Ignorance is bliss.
Ole Miss doesn't have more titles than Auburn.
You obviously do not know what a decade is.
This decade will go very well for Auburn.
Post saved, dumb ass.
Yes, yes they do.
Ole Miss: 1959, 1960, 1962
AU: 1957, 2010
They have a brighter future in the next 10 years too. Better coach, building new facilities, and better recruits. It will be a hell of a battle for 4th and 5th in the SEC West.
I should really start charging you for all the things I teach you on here.
1983 & 04 titles claimed... Now who has more?
Oh good, this is where this threads going....(rolls eyes)
Nobody claims those but message board posters and you know what.
Please don't subject the board to the "decade" argument again.
The definition of decade can be either 1)a period of ten years or 2) a period of ten years beginning with a year whose last digit is zero.
So Alabama has won 3 titles in a decade (a period of ten years).
Please tell me you are joking. A decade is any set of ten years. 2003-2013 is a decade. You really shouldn't be calling anyone a dumb ass IMO.
btw, you are correct, we haven't won 3 titles in a decade...we did it in 4 years. We still have 6 more to add to the number before we have an accurate count over a decade.
As for the OP, why are you shocked that Dubose and Shula sucked? I thought that was common knowledge.
Yea we were just so dominant in the 60's haha! And then for some reason everybody got pissed off about the whole James Meredith incident. IDK???
actually, decades (generally speaking) begin with years that end with the digit 1. (2001, 2011, etc) Since there was no year 0, the first decade began on year 1 and ran to year 10.
So, the current decade began on year 2011 and ends on year 2020

10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
UGA doing work like always
I've got no dog in this fight but "decade" describes any ten year period. Now if you're talking "the 60's" for instance, it would begin with '60 and end with '69. Sorry, I'm a stickler for details.
I agree totally and that is what my post was describing.
No losing season since 79. Suck it nerds
How many undefeated seasons in that time frame?
Two of those were 6-7 season. 3 by Shula
97-06. Worst stretch in bama history. Still better than usce's best era ever.
When spurrier retires usce will return to 4-8 status.
All the recent bama crystal is blurring my vision of the early 2000's...when Saban was training to be bamas coach.
I've coached as many sec championship teams as all usce coaches combined.
