Let us know how it works
Over the last half a week, Apple has been hit with the largest mass-hacking incident in its history. And the perpetrators were the companys restrictions on their devices using the jailbreaking tool Evasi0n since the tool was [...]
I wish I could jailbreak this one
I did it on my ipad. not really sure what to get now
Bump for the morning crew.
Did it a couple of days ago on my new ip5. Simple. No issues. Happy.
Might try it tonight
ive never tried jail breaking before. Can someone give me the cliffs on what exactly it does. Im lazy and dont feel like researching.
Just opens up your phone to do with it what you want. There's a whole community of developers that create apps that Apple, for multiple reasons, will not allow in the app store. Basically, I wanted the clean simplicity of the iphone with more of the bells and whistles you can get with Android. Jailbreaking gives you the best of both worlds. You can also get most Apple apps for free, if you're so inclined.

thanks bro. I will give it a try.
If I dont like it or if i run into issues how hard is it to revert back to normal?
just jailbroke it and was doin all my changes then the cydia thing went away....now what?
You can change it back in 5 minutes (tops). Jailbreaking does nothing that you would even notice other than adding a Cydia app - which is the store that allows you to download apps that are outside of the Apple sandbox. Remove the break and itunes will remove all the non-apple apps automatically. It's seamless.
respring/reboot the phone.
nothing.....still shows winter board on settings but no cydia
Cydia is an app.
Hm... sounds like you did something in winterboard that's not compatible w your phone (usually because wb is old as fvck). What model do you have? Can you search for cydia?
Worst case scenario you just re-jailbreak. And when you install tweaks etc just make sure it says it's compatible with your phone/ios.
Looks like I'm going to have to re jailbreak it
