Gives these kids 80 seconds to grab all the toys they can.. What an awesome thing to do.. Great, great gesture..
Worth a read, If you have a minute.
From the blog Shutdown Corner: Here's an NFL story designed to warm your heart and terrify your wallet. Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson, one of the league's unquestioned good guys, on Tuesday performed what's becoming an annual ritual for him: a Toys Us shopping … Continue reading →
"Get in where you fit in." Life is, Too Short TL;DR
I freaking love Andre Johnson no homo. Guy just is a beast, a true professional, and someone every young athlete should look to as a role model. Low maintenance, high production, and great character.
One of my favorite players in the NFL.
I agree.. Class act..
My Wife sent me the link, I had to share..
Imagine how good that felt to those 12 kids..
I can only imagine the smiles, and the thrills they were getting. Wish more guys were spending their money doing things like this, instead of making it rain in the club.
He's the man.. Love Andre' Johnson. Brees just gave 1 million dollars to Hurricane Sandy relief. That's a LOT of money to help people with no homes.. Love seeing these athletes use their Millions for good things.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Thanks for sharing Les, I did not know Brees did that, good stuff.
No doubt. It's cool to see these guys not only volunteering, but writing big checks to help out. Giving back to the community is awesome to see.
You read my mind with your above post about making it rain in the club..
Pouring Dom or Cristal(sp?) on the ground also comes to mind, ish kills me, why not give that 5 hundo you just poured on the floor to a needy family..
It is cool to see these guys do these great acts.
Remember, also, especially during the holiday season, that we all can give what we do have: whether that be money, time or just listening to someone. Give to a local charity, or volunteer at a soup kitchen, etc. Do whatever you can to help your fellow man. I know we all jeer back and forth at each other, but we each do tremendous small things to make a difference to people in our own communities. Find ways of helping and you will find things out abt yourself and others. It is truly and honor to be able to help people who are less fortunate.
Great post. Wish I had some UPvotes left.
