Let me first say that this might be the best 30 for 30 I've seen. Very powerful, emotionally, IMO. Sad to not see Lorenzo Charles there with Whit, Bailey, Sidney, Gannon etc offering remembrances/tribute to V. As someone old enough to actually remember that title game, the whole damn thing reminded me of a time when college basketball was within a cvnthair of being my favorite sport--watching the Worthys, Jordans. Mullins, Barkleys, Berrys, Ewings Drexlers, Wilkins, Sampsons, Olajuwons on up through the Mournings, Iversons, LJs, Augmons, Webers, Shaqs, Hills, Laetners, Washingtons, etc: golden era for CBB IMO
Seeing Coach K speaking of the friendship that developed between him and V--a guy he admittedly didn't care for initially--was pretty cool IMO, and the extent of that friendship was not something I was previously aware of. But it also underscored something else that was conspicuous in its absence.
Sorry to say though that one of the strongest takeaways I had though was what kind of turd must Dean Smith be that he couldn't have offered some kind of comments on V. If they gave K a chance, you know they had to have at least have contacted Smith, and for him to have nothing to offer is a complete, no class, Bitch move IMO
