A look at how NCAA President Mark Emmert handled scandals at previous jobs at UConn and LSU. Criticism has swirled over how the NCAA has handled the cases of Penn State and Miami under his leadership.
"This guy knows a thing or two about cheaters. Hey bud, want a promotion? "
Unreal is an understatement. Wheels are falling off you wombat looking bastard
Lol it doesn't mean the _ didn't do anything wrong. I expect you guys to be hammered just on the basis of Shalalalalala calling out the NCAA.
Go up to a corrupt cop and call him a pig and spit on him, that should be a small scale experiment of what she did.
Miami never said that didn't do anything wrong, and the fact that they alread self imposed 2 post seasons bans says a lot. At the end of the day, Miami isn't going to receive anything more than a few lost scholarships. Emmert is in deep. The NCAA is in deep. They aren't going to win this and they know it.
Read too much into that I'd be a homer if I said miami was clean in this. Give me one school who isn't dirty. Impossible. But the bullshit that's been accused is more or less fabricated for the most part. Lets be honest here, what school outside of ole miss in a few years can spend millions of dollars and NOT win a meaningful bowl game let alone a ncg?
"You can't be successful in the business world without being a cheat"- My father
lmao at Penn State and Miami fans thinking Emmert will go down for this, at worst they fire him with a money severance package
The NCAA will protect him and keep on keepin on
You gotta love how Penn State and Miami feel so sorry for themselves, god damn I hate Penn State
as for Miami they are still screwed, most of us have known for decades that the NCAA is a bunch of rassis old white men who cheat and scheme with the best of them.... nothing has changed and it likely never will
The NCAA does what it wants, and no amount of public pressure or negative reporting will change anything anytime soon.... history has shown us this time and time again, yet fans are getting excited now because they are probably very young and very clueless about the NCAA's history in this country

fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Nova has stuck with it and I agree with him, unfortunately for Miami the fact that the NCAA is crooked it doesnt change the fact that Miami broke the rules habitually. All that has changed is that Miami will complain way more when the hammer drops than they would have previously.
People forget all the time how the NCAA rolls, and then freak out when its shoved in their face once again
Its like clock work
Miami broke rules = check
Donna Shalala called them out like a retarded jackass that she is = check
The NCAA has hated Miami for years, many would argue they are public enemy #1 and always have been since around 1985 I'd say = check
Miami is acting a fool by clamoring that they have served enough, well that isn't their decision like it or not/fair or unfair and saying so in public does nothing but risk pissing the NCAA off which is very easy to do, especially for Miami in the wake of a very serious scandal
Like I have said from the start, and will continue to say... if I was a Miami fan, I would be very scared of the possible outcome, history shows that its likely to be very unfair and drastic beyond measure
Yep, it would be like armed robbing a store and a week before your court date the judge presiding gets a DUI. He has his own shit to worry about now but you're still screwed and going down for A.R. and you doing an Oped in the local paper on how the judge no longer has the right to judge you DOES NOT help you.

Ha, pretty solid analogy
I love you too sweetie.
Remind me to bump this thread later this year.
Yesterday's news. . Already a thread as well. Can't say NCAA without FSU's dreaming of a Miami death penalty. .
No I did not lose a sig bet, but I am really really really ridiculously good looking.
No it's not. NoVa gonna Nova and fsufsufsufsufsu gonna fsufsufsufsufsu.
Why, is anything I said that outrageous
Im don't care what happens to Penn State, and that situation has nothing to do with Miami or what I have said about their case
I hate Penn State because of the culture at your school, its weird and extremely gay to me
I don't blame all its students so don't take that personally, but from what I saw from your university in the last few years was more than enough to disgust me
And I will forever hate everything Nitty Lion for the rest of my life because of it
Studly just studlyin. FSU clearly doesn't need you to be on sanctions. 3 in a row, gap isn't closing, game in Tally.
I have proof the gap is closing. But keep dreaming.
It really was though, it is exactly how this situation is playing out
And its borderline amazing to me that you don't see it that way
It's not bad, it's just missing info. Like the part where the guy turned himself in and has been sitting in prison for 2 years while the judge gets drunk. 2 years of prison is probably the right sentence for the crime.
That is irrelevant now though
Cause the things he said were proven true in a lot of instances, so who he is now becomes no longer an issue
We are long past that stage of the investigation, so why add this to the post now ?
Right now Miami is simply waiting to see what happens, and with the NCAA.... that is a scary place to be, especially for Miami who has been here before, for similar crimes
Most repeat offenders, who keep doing the same shit over and over again... don't skate on technicalities... that is all I have been saying the entire time, and many of you Canes have laughed the whole time
As if I ever predicted a death penalty or wanted it to happen, I have simply stated that I expect sanctions to be bad and stated good reasoning to why I think its the case
What did we show the last few years?
As a current student from a different part of the country I can tell you the culture here is no different that at any school in Texas.
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
I've predicted each of the last three wins and you keep saying keep dreaming. You are the one in fantasyland.
Never said I liked Texas sir
1- your students rioted the campus in wake of Joe Pa's firing.... disgusting imo
2- your football program and looney tune fan base allowed some so called Legend be able to be so powerful that he and his friends protected themselves over children to save their meaningless reputations.... disgusting and not possible without a bunch of retards who worship football coaches
3- shall I really go on ? cause I will... but #1 and #2 seem enough for some good solid hate for the next half century at least
anybody with half a brain could have predicted the last 3 wins
Except that we graduate more of our athletes at PSU.
Anyone who points to the actions of a few in a group of hundreds of thousands of people and proclaim them to be indicative of that group's "culture" is a fool. Especially when you have things like the aforementioned graduation rates, the academic rankings, and the philanthropic achievements of the university. But what else should we expect from Nova?
