Where do you see Dj Swearinger going in the draft? I want him on the titans bad, but we have more needs first do you think we could get him in the third?
I would guess 4th unless he has a great senior bowl/combine. Kind of hope he goes to the Ravens. Obviously he's not in the same ballpark as Reed but reminds me of him mentally (attitude and football junkie).
3-4 round I think.
I agree with PTC, I want to see him end up on a team that already has a great defense (Steelers, Ravens, etc) because I think he could thrive there.
One thing to keep in mind about DJ is how smart of a player he is from an Xs and Os stand point. He is very emotional and makes some poor decisions, but those are things we can put up with given his ability to set our defense up. Dell Shula, who coached DJ at Greenwood HS, and has coached for over 40 years said DJ was the smartest player he had ever been around. DJ is the type of player who can become the QB of the defense.
You may run like Hayes, but you hit like $*!#
And his current DC who's coached DBs at VT and around the SEC said he's never coached a player who loved football more.

Shell Dula said the same exact thing about DJ
You're right, I'm an idiot. Don't know what my brain was thinking.
Maybe your lysdexic.
My guess is 3rd or 4th round. That said, Swearinger is a lot faster than people think and could help himself in the combine.
the fact he will also be able to play nickel defense if needed will increase his value. Safeties in general are not in high demand. late 3rd to early 5th as of today. Could see him as a late second rounder if his combine numbers are above average and his background checks out.
considering Antonio Allen dropped to the 7th I'll say DJ will go in the 6th/7th
Allen played spur so his coverage skills were questioned since there wasn't a lot of game film. DJ won't have that problem.
Completely different players. Auguste was a tweener..Swearinger isnt.
