Went from #1 to unranked on the field, can we do it in recruiting?
Hold onto your butts
Has it gotten that bad?
I hate SC (not sure I need the disclaimer at this point), but I thought their class was going to be star studded. I know you said in another thread these kids essentially left you out to dry, you guys not have any others on the backburner?
Yes its that bad.
We have EE's
Already had 39 stars worth of player decommit.
Well I saw they had 3 guys bail today, but does USC have no one that they can fallback on?
Gotta be some kids in Cali that grew up dreaming to play for SC they can steal last minute.
Wouldn't bet on it. Putting all of your eggs in one basket is always the best idea.
We will find out tomorrow. I'm just letting it play out.
Got most of the guys I wanted in this class already. Browne, Cravens, Bigelow, McQuay III and Rodgers.
I have to say I really hate to not get EV. One of my two favorites along with Bigelow this year.
I personally hope we roll over a couple of schollies for 2014 if we don't land our supposed silents. Loving next years class out of Serra (less than two miles from my mom's place).

Three? Ramsey, Hatcher, and who else?
Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
You always have a pulse on SC and are level headed.
How many LOI's will you guys get tomorrow?
What are you hearing about Fritts, Vanderdoes, Thomas?
Mcquay is a stud that's for sure.
Probably Prevot. He gone imo.
Prevot, from what I saw on twitter.
Also even if SC's class this year isn't great, SC is always going to get their talent.
Plus Browne, Bigelow, Mcquay, and Cravens are all absolute studs.
Their class is fine, just not what it was looking like 3 months ago when it looked like they'd have 6-7 five stars. Ton of decommits, but they added Mcquay which helps.
That's essentially what I was trying to say, but you put it more eloquently than I.
Mcquay and Cravens as a safety class is outrageous.
Yeah he's gone, and I'm betting Falah goes to UW as well.
To answer Mrider's question probably 5, to give us a class of 12 when we could've taken 17. Lots of smoke around Thomas but that's highly unlikely.
I mean everyone of those kids is pretty flipping good.
Might not be optimal in terms of numbers (granted important to have depth), but it has a lot of potential gamebreakers.
Sky is not falling in SC.
You're being more reasonable than roughly 80% of our home board right now.
Wish our board would just chill for a minute.
Who do you guys blame for all these decommitments? Kiffin?
It seems to me like it was just a domino effect, whereas one kid decommitted then another then another said well screw this..
Yeah they are, but taking 1 DL and 1 OL is a recipe for disaster IMO.
I don't like Kiffin but understand its hard to get a long term answer at HC right now. What is disconcerting is he just got his doors blown off in what was supposed to be his specialty.
Going last minute offering around LA right now just seems to be a slap in these kids' faces.
That's what was odd. For this all to happen this late in the process and hit the coaches out of the blue seems like it was planned amongst the kids.
How did our coaches not have a back up plan for these kids that looked like they were on the fence heading into the weekend? Either they gambled big with no backup plan, or were played.
the saving grace for SC's lost season was this great class LFK recruiting class. I bet your board is in full meltdown mode. How hot is LFK's seat for this upcoming season?
I don't disagree with anything you said. RR neglected the trenches at Michigan, and well, you may have seen the results against good teams for Michigan this year.
Like you post underneath says though, it's absolutely wild this happened at the very end, and Kiffin is looking like he got caught with his pants down. Makes you wonder if the kids had something up their sleeve. But at the same time, what axe do these kids have to grind?
Makes you wonder.
Although at face value that sure is what it looks like. But I doubt they all got together and played USC. Because if that was the case I'm not sure many of them would have considered USC in the first place.
1 DL and 1 OL will kill a team, especially if a player doesn't live up to the hype. Can't recall any class losing so many players this late without a HC change.
I know thats why its strange. Never seen anything like this happen.
Maybe the kids just hate Clancy Pendergast?
But still, how did we not have a back up plan until going into full panic mode today? Crazy.
